We've seen this before. Geno goes off, the other team marches down the field. Rarely running.
Geno has to run back on to hold them to a FG at best.
It would probably go a long way in helping the playoff chances if Geno wasn't dead legged by December.
I'd put that more on coaches. If Geno is out and the other team is marching down the field, why stay with a 4 man rush? Run some games up front, bring a few blitzes from different angles.
It's not like there's a complete lack of talent minus Geno.
I agree with a fresher Geno in Dec/Jan helps the team tremendously.
