I dunno if the new trilogy avoids it because of the prequels or because there just aren't any potential combatants, but I really hope we get an epic lightsaber duel between Rey and Kylo in Episode IX.
Maybe it's because outside of Obi Wan the duels were the only thing done well in the prequels, but I really wanted to see some lightsaber badassery between Luke and Kylo at the end.
