That's one way of looking at it.  I see it as focusing more on light vs darkness....and the Force itself, instead of Jedi vs Sith in its truest form.  Those are religions centering around the force, and with the systemic ends of all the Skywalker affiliates, it just feels like they are moving away from Jedis and Siths to me.  I think the focus going forward will be on the force itself, not the disciplines associated with it.
