It always amused me whenever people would say that Guard was Whitworth's "natural position", when in reality he was just put there because "this guy's too good to not have on the field, right now".

Paul Alexander mentioned something similar on the radio recently.  Essentially, we didn't anticipate him being on the board and took him over a bigger need because he was too good to pass up, and he was too good to sit on the bench because he was a better player out of position then the other players at that position.
