Reader will prevent running up the middle and all these mad tackling DB's will stop the outside gashing.  Add a  LB or even two who can cover, and damn if we won't have a defense to be reckoned with.  

Now maybe you've eased the pressure for your rookie QB to have to score thirty a game.
