That is a bad contract 13 million for a guy your hoping plays half the season at worst but at best is 13 games. You literally could pay Jason Peters 9 or 10 for similar production and similar risk, plus give up nothing draft wise.
As for the compensation I wouldn’t even give a day 2 pick for a guy more likely to retire than play a whole season.
