He's far from great, but he at least catches the ball and gets positive yardage when his number is called.

If its 3rd and 8 and  everyone is blanketed downfield 
And Sample is the checkdown .....ok he catches the ball 
But only.gets 6 yds. 
Yeah its postive yards. But still is short of a 1st down.
Most completions downfield are positive yards arent they+

If your 2nd RD pick at best is a checkdown option.
Hes a bust.
Meanwhile the rest of the North are using their TEs
To feast on lbers and safeties.
Ours is a checkdown option.
