Yup.  I know this is not a popular opinion around here, but this is one area in which I think Trump's three SCOTUS appointees are really going to be instrumental in warding this off.  Don't get me wrong, I think they'd be more comfortable with the same proposals coming from a conservative Congress and White House.  Your point about ignored warning is totally on point, and the parallels between this and the ignored warnings leading up to 9/11 are scary.

I'm totally fine with that, as long as we don't forget why the business in every major city boarded up on election day.  Don't pretend for one second it wouldn't have been a bloodbath in many areas of the country if Trump had won.
