The first year my mother-in-law came over to hand out stuff on Halloween at our house, it was unusually hot. Like mid-80s. So, naturally, she brought over individual ice cream cups.

The thought was nice, but what happened was many of those parents later that night found a bunch of melted chocolate ice cream in their kid's bag. I don't think we ever got another trick or treater at that address.
