I saw Boyd take two steps before he got hit. I think it is up to the discretion of the ref to determine if that is considered a football move or not. Someone correct me if I am wrong. 
I don't get 'football move' either as opposed to what ?  hitting the ball with a baseball bat? A teather ball move perhaps ?
