Don't blame the defense

Well I guess we will see.

Personally I find it hard to believe that the Jets coaching staff was smarter than all the other teams we have played this year.  But if it really is that simple to beat our defense we won't win another game all year.

We are known to birth great QBs like Farve. White could be even better than Burrow, he sure was last Sunday. White can do what Burrow has been unable to do all season, short quick passes. You don't hear much about Boyd anymore as much when Andy was here.

White was not better than Burrow.  He had a great statistical day, but he was reading wide open WRs.  Just about any QB could have done that against the defense the Bengals showed on Sunday.  As far as Boyd and Dalton vs. Burrow goes, right now they do seem a little off pace, but I am sure that will change.  You can see Burrow trying to get all the pieces involved.

I think a lot of it comes down to missed tackles and losing one on one matchups. The defense had not had issues with these all year, until Sunday. They've been somewhat conservative all year, relying on guys to win. We didn't win those Sunday. It may be that simple.

"Better send those refunds..."

The Jets staff literally took NE's offensive approach that destroyed them the week before, and used it on the Bengals. The Bengals defense was not prepared for that and never really adjusted to it. While Lou and the defense deserve criticism for getting taken to the woodshed, the Jets staff deserves props for utilizing a game plan that they saw work extremely well, up close and personal, by the Pats the prior game.
