Before even looking at it, I'm gonna say Walton is not gonna look good in this.

In other words, he's confident the lady will take a payoff and drop the charges....

Just from the short video Novak escalated the situation by getting out of the car and approaching Walton. Should have just waited for police. Certainly a mitigating circumstance.

Not a mitigating circumstance. She had every legal right to exit her car and try to talk to him. He had Zero legal right to grab her phone. Not defending the idiot but they are both idiots. True she has the right to get out of the car, but that doesn't mean it was the right thing to do. Why would you escalate a situation with someone who clearly doesn't care. What if he done worse. Just cut him already, it was a pick that never should have been.

Or when positive fans complain and call for players to be cut or call them bums for their play last season, we are all safe to join in. But only then.

Yes he does.  And the energy and enthusiasm is amazing.  Guy did a very bad thing when he was young but didn't let it define him.
