Who was the person that went out with a huge bang on the old forums, by posting porn all over the site? I mean they posted porn in dozens of threads. I only saw a couple of the posts, but it was nasty stuff as well.

Denny was not hated for his positive attitude, but for what he became when he took over the forums.  He and Joe both had emoji's created because they were both fan favorites for a long time.  Before he was a MOD Denny was actually (mostly) a beloved poster.  The problem is that most people don't remember that far back.

When I first joined the old boards I stayed out of jungle noise pretty much all together. Found the smack section much more of a home then some of the takes in the old jungle noise that were just super homerish. 

By the time I started to post in the old jungle noise, the beloved side of Denny had been replaced by the controlling side. I remember the emojii's though and you are right, he was a nice guy at the start of things. Just a very positive guy who was super passionate about the team.

Wasn't that "Rayne" I think the name was? Or... was something and then changed to Rayne?

I remember Rayne getting banned.

Also could have been any number of others that went and got themselves banned, like Ghostrider, Beavis, Steelman, and the one poster who claimed to get Christmas cards from the Rooney family.

I always liked Wolfie and got along with him super-well, but he appears to simply jump on whatever trend is popular and trying to make a future with it (he did it with his church, then with football {Stripe Hype} now he does YT videos on VGs; the dime a dozen ones that thousands do on any current game) and as such, I believe he genuinely means well and he's a very kindhearted person, but, not sure if his fandom is as strong as it once was and as a result, only think he would pop in once a year or so (hasn't since May of 2020).

Lawless is a weird one lol. His tweets on the team are ok, but he has a TON of cringey/creepy tweets as well. IIRC, he also just upped and said he wasn't going to post here anymore and he didn't.

Eox is still on Twitter, but he too isn't nearly as engaged on football like he used to be (he still tweets about games and such constantly) and over half of his tweets are just shitposts

FUNNY shitposts (and many are valid), but shitposts nonetheless  

For 'zerker specifically, I was wondering why I wasn't seeing the deep-dive into formations and schemes from him, for a while and I checked his name last week, which is where I saw he has been suspended since June. He and Mike Santagata (Bengal_Sans) were some of the best Bengal-specific clip studies on Twitter and now it's just Sans, basically.

Impressive work keeping up! Some names on there brought a bit of nostalgia.

It's funny you say that and interesting viewpoint. I just remember getting into it with Denny on occasion, and I used to be a LOT more optimistic about the team than I've been in more recent years when I've taken the "prove it to me" stance more often than not. People liked the back-slapping and feeling good and Denny was a king at that. But as I recall, he was also the king of bragging about his rich life and making other people feel generally inferior. As a poor college student in the early 00s it rubbed me the wrong way, and would probably wrong me more the wrong way now.

I'll say it's impressive the longevity of some posters, though. Especially when so many other forms of discussion are more popular than forums.

WhoDeyWho? I think? I don’t remember the exact reason.

I just remember that this board, as well as its predecessor were very dramatic for a couple years. It seemed like every other poster was some nutter with some weird anonymous motive to their posting. I was thoroughly entertained by that stuff for a while.

It doesn’t seem like that happens anymore, though I have much less activity here than I used to.

Yeah, it was WhoDeyWho. He didn't get the boot, per se, but he had the rights to the domain and he shut this place down.

I don’t know…that guy seemed pretty solid to me. Probably a top-10 all-time Bengals forum poster. Charming, witty, attractive, basically the whole package.

I don't remember if it was Rayne, but Rayne started out as Ghostwriter (yes 'writer') then came out as trans; she was born male but was transitioning to female and wanted to change her board name to help represent that she changed.

He is currently active on another MB. During one on my mandatory breaks from this board I ventured over there and he PM'd me.

His Story:

The Mods/Admins intended to suspend him; however, they accidentally gave him admin rights instead. He then proceeded to cause mischief.

Of course I cannot speak to the legitimacy of what he told me.
