There may be some detail work but the basics were understood prior to yesterday.

Common sense isn't so common.

Lapham also said he thought Lazor was going to get the head coaching job after Lewis was fired.

Yeah, there's a lot to do on a visit. Meet and greet, catching up with old coaches, tours of the facilities, lunch, business meetings, physicals. It's only 2pm.

And if he leaves without a deal signed, I'm not mad at the org, because it means whatever Collins was requesting would have probably been a bad move.  They've been aggressive in FA 2 years in a row now and I don't think they're going to lowball him.  But they need to make sure they're not screwing over the rest of the plan.

This is what's different compared to the past two years.
In-person visits are a thing again.
Team is going through the longer process for Collins.
Can someone verify that Collins left the building at around noon? Is he still at PBS?

Paul Dehner Jr. said earlier today that we don't seem to be too interested in Tretter. Not yet anyway. Would be a dream.
I believe people still want to shit on the Bengals, even though the last 2 years of FA have resulted in a changing of philosophy.

Dude where tf are you getting your info? He's here all day, there haven't been reports of guaranteed money being an issue, stop creating chaos.
Relax and enjoy....

Some people just can't be happy lol...
If Collins is added along with Hurst, I'd feel ok going into the draft without any critical needs.
Sure, Hopkins could still potentially be on the roster, but he's not a liability.
Bengals could then focus much more on BPA.

Maybe Bengals re-sign Hopkins on the cheap

A beaten dog never forgets

You aren't changing a 30 year mentality in 2 years.

As I had posted my comment, I had not seen Hopkins was just released.
If Hopkins is gone, I do think LG is the only potential remaining starter spot needing addressed.
With that said, I wouldn't be surprised to see a camp battle between Carman and Smith for that spot.

Which is fair to a point that people have scars.  But there should also not be an automatic resorting to doom and gloom.  There's a "cautiously optimistic" middle ground which is easier and more fun that taking the hyper negative approach.
La'el Collins isnt the only guy the Bengals are sitting down with today. Hopefully the deal gets done soon.

Did you not get enough attention growing up?
