It's bad play calling but more lack of snaps together. They look incredibly sloppy and rusty. They also need Tee back and Burrow's decision making has been awful.

Crazy part is my eye test says he’s running well. Nothing is open. He’s not dancing or doing any BS. He’s getting every yard available.
Looks like our pass blocking is improving as the game goes on.
I’m still worried but I have a bit of hope.
Burrow’s also getting rid of the ball quicker as the game goes on but at least he has the time to do it.

Why wasn't that a hit on a defensively receiver? Helmet to helmet The jets got a big one against the Bengals last year that looked a lot more iffy than that hit on Higgens looked.
So, who should the Bengals take with their top 5 draft pick next year?
