Mixon had 27 runs over 10 yards, Jacobs had 9, this season.

If being a back was just about speed, it would be a lot easier and there would be a lot more backs in the NFL.

Mixon's yards after contact, at one point in the season, were something like 40th out of 54 qualifying backs.

Sports Illustrated pointed out how terrible he was in that article from November 30th.

LOL, Mixon wasnt good, but he was twice as good as Jacobs, cost less and doesnt have a bad quad. 

Im all for upgrading Mixon, but Jacobs doesnt seem to be that guy today.

If that's the case, they should change the labeling to be like 30-39, 40-49, etc.
It seems kinda dumb to say two 40+, which includes the one 50+.

I think every time we see Jacobs he looks good. But folks outside of the Jungle can say the same thing about Mixon given he shines in primetime.

Jacobs was awesome in 2022, he was not good in 2023.  I think many have memories from the season before last.  Who knows the impact of his quad moving forward?

Maybe he was last season but, like I said, that might be due to the hold out and whatever.

He was a bad-ass in 2022.

Pair him with Burrow and he'll do damage.

Living in the past with injured RBs is bad business and almost never leads to future improved play.  You know better than this Brad.

Pass. Nothing against the guy, as I don't watch Faders games and know little to nothing about him. For me, it's the money. I prefer RB money spent at RT. Or TE1. Or DLine. Hell, even FS at this point. We can find RBs with fresher legs in the draft at a fraction of the price of a *most likely* expensive vet looking for his first big boy payday.

Mixon brings durability to the position and ball security.

He is cheaper than Josh Jacobs and Saquon Barkley. I would be open minded about bringing in a Free Agent but

I lean towards keeping Mixon with Chase Brown in 2024 & trying to bubble up a rookie through the 2024 Draft.

Hope to hit like the Rams did on 5th rounder Kyren Williams or like Miami did with 3rd rounder De'von Achane.

Notre Dame RB Audric Estime looks interesting in the 2024 Draft (he played with Kyren Williams at Notre Dame) but 

let's see how all the RBs test at the Combine. There should be a few solid Draft options to choose from to add to Mixon & Brown.

I would stick with Mixon over Jacobs. We know what we're getting with Mixon. Mixon is still a good back.

I'm no big Mixon fan, but I must admit I found the funny as well. To dude's credit he didn't break it down by 5 yards intervals.

25 Yards: JJ>JM
30 Yards: JJ>JM
35 Yards: JJ>JM
40 Yards: JJ>JM
45 Yards: JJ>JM
50 Yards: JJ>JM
Almost 55 Yards: JJ>JM
Closest to 60 Yards: JJ>JM
Half 100 yards: JJ>JM

I'd rather draft this young man to pair with Brown.

According to this, Mixon was:
Avg Yards Before Contact = 2.6 (leading rusher with 100+ rushing attempts was Achane at 4.7)
Avg Yards After Contact = 1.4 (leading rusher with 100+ rush attempts was also Achane at 3.0. Chase Brown was actually right after Achane at 2.9)
Mixon had only 5 runs of 20+ yards the entire season, none of which were 50+ yards.

I like Mixon, but he's not a home run threat (anymore at least).

What I want to know is how a guy like James Conner, who's not exactly thought of as fast, averaged 3.0 before contact and 5.0 overall?  Hell, he had a career year on a very suspect Arizona Cardinals team.
