Apparently, because Robbins was placed on IR with the cut down day designated to return qualifier, they had to put him on the active roster before any other transaction could take place. This is all roster gymnastics

He wasn't going to be better than signing a random unemployed punter and you have a limited amount of guys you can get back from the IR each year, no?
Quote:The NFL and NFL Players Association agreed to slightly altered injured reserve rules for the 2024 season that will allow teams to "designate for return" an additional two players in the postseason, alongside the already permitted eight players in the regular season, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

With nine punts, Ryan Rehkow doesn't qualify for the NFL lead (he's 1 attempt short).

However, his 58.4 average and 49.7 net would not only lead both categories but would be NFL records.
The single-season records are 53.1 and 46.0.
It's a small sample size, but he's been stellar.

AJ Cole is back on top!
Our model did not like Trenton Gill's performance, whose punts were so short that they caused absolute chaos for the Eagles return unit. (Sometimes a punt can be so bad that it's actually good) pic.twitter.com/FIJ05tYIu5

McPherson has uncharacteristically missed a PAT and a Field Goal so far this year, with the new punter being his holder. If he can't get that right, Robbins might be right back out there.

Punting Ave 58.4 yards leads the league by 6 yards
Net Yards 49.7 leads the league by 2.5 yards
Brad Robbins should nurse that injury for as long as he can because he isn't coming back to the 53 anytime soon

The defense lost the game by allowing 41 points. The Ravens scored on every drive after halftime except for the one where Lamar just dropped the snap. Zac didn't help with going ultra-conservative-loser-mode and playing for a 53 yard FG attempt when his QB has 400 yards and 5 TDs.
