Nobody could defend him on a go route! Just flat out fly past people!

But I will mention Darnay Scott. Darnay was 9th all time in catches. His Yard per Catch was 15.5..higher than Chad, Green, and Ja'Marr.
Also, in Darnay's career...1994-2001...Darnay never lost a fumble.

AJ Green was damn good himself in his prime.
Ike was like Jerry Rice before Jerry Rice though, crazy speed and hands combination.
Chad was the crispest route runner and had the best toe tap of his time.
AJ had another gear in pads and could destroy entire secondary's even when they tried to double him being 6'4" with speed.
Ja'Marr Chase's balance, quicks, speed and strength are as elite as it gets, none better. He will be the best.

It would have been nice if an 8-8 Blake team had gotten a bounce or two and snagged a WC spot.
I remember that game at Seattle where he just flat-out torched everybody.

He was as much, if not more, athletically talented than most but he just didn't really put up even pro bowl numbers for any more than the first 3rd of his career. I like the guy and talk to him every now and then when he comes in our shop. Sure he was fast and sure he got a rule changed but he wasn't really on par with his peers other than his rookie and 3rd years when he finished 5th and 2nd in yards.
Other than that, he ranks among his peers, year to year - 13, 13, injured (8 games), 23, 44, 48, 48, injured (9 games), 51. His last year ('84) he started 13 games and had 135 yards on the season. Ja'Marr will pass him in receptions very early this year, likely pass him in TDs this year and pass him in yards some time next year.
Currently, Chad is the best WR in Bengals history and he only holds that for a few more years till Ja'Marr passes him as #1. AJ would be right behind them and then you have Curtis, Pickens, Collinsworth and Brown in any particular order though many of them had relatively short careers as far as WRs go. Then Boyd, Housh and Scott are right behind them.
At his current pace, Tee is going to put himself inbetween the AJ/Chad coversation and if he's able to stay healthy, challenge Chad for #2.
That's my story and i'm sticking to it.

he was maybe our best WR, but in this throwing NFL Ja'Marr should pass him up quickly along with Chad and AJ. Ja'Marr is the best already
honestly which is crazy how young he is.
