Closing out June, Reds are 2.5 games behind in the WC with SF and SD ahead of them.
The current WC teams are NYM, MIL, and STL.

Cubs are coming a bit more back down to Earth, now only 5.0 games ahead of the Reds for the division lead.

Reds have done well in this brutal stretch with just BOS and PHI remaining of the 4-week stretch.
If the Reds can come out of these 6 games this week with 3-3 or better, that should set them up fantastic going against MIA and COL, all at GABP.
They could be sittin pretty at the ASB.

Reds are, right now, a more respectable 24-19 at home at this point. Last year's final record at home was 39-42.

They are also 14-7 in their last 21 games, iirc.

Burns might need more time in the minors. Can't just throw only two pitches out there with one of the two being a slider that is dead center.

I knew it! It was all going great until someone publicly showed hope. I think Francona even mentioned it in his press conference. "I new we were hosed when Earendil blurted that right in the Red Sox' faces."

That and the other pitch is a straight fastball that is constantly the exact same speed as the last one along with the same lack of movement.

He needs to have a locker in between Greene and Abbott.

That error by McLain opened the door for a bad inning. If that doesn’t happen, maybe the kid pitches better. I think he got flustered and fell apart

Tipping what, he’s only got 2 pitches. It’s either one or the other.
