Id rather take a 5 yard penalty in a lot of scenarios over using timeouts.

Timeouts are there for this reason. Not to save and hide away under your pillow.

This is what happens when your offensive Coordinator isn't smart enough to run an NFL caliber offense so he has to compensate by running formations and special personnel packages. All the ***** talent and we can't just line up our 11 and beat the other 11 in front of us. At least Gruden ran a simpler offense.
