Because it's probably true. Although it has the opposite effect on me, but I only cried for 20 minutes.
Sounds like he avoided a serious injury and it was just a "knee jam".

I've had this injury twice (once playing baseball and once when I tripped going down the stairs).  It all depends on the extent of the ligament damage, but it can also effect the cartilage.  Minor damage can heal in two weeks, if there is more severe damage to the ligaments and/or cartilage it can be a couple months and possibly surgery.

Getting Eifert back in time for week one would be such a boost.
