From 2020?
Most fans outside of Florida cant.
They have one 1st RD pick in Tristan Wirfs.
I know of only 2 other players...,Cappas and Brian Jenson
Point being you don't need 4 1st RD draft picks
To have a very good oline.
Brilliant logic.
By looking at that same Super Bowl team you can argue that you don't need to use anything more than a sixth round pick to get a Hall of fame QB.

This is hilarious.
The team with the worst OL of the last 5 years is going to pass on Oline, with the chance to protect their 1OA QB, to draft a WR in the top 5, when they already have a two solid young WRs.
Burrow is so accurate, he just needs time. I love Chase, but anchoring both Tackles on either side with Jonah and Sewell just makes too much sense.
What a laughingstock organization

Gronk had a hell of a Superbowl. But curious if anyone cared to breakdown how productive having elite receivers was.
Evans had a 100 yard game in their first playoff game and Godwin had a 100 yard game in the NFCCG.

Good teams draft BPA....they don't chase players for need. That said, Chase is ranked 3rd best player available in the entire draft, Sewell is ranked 12th best player in the draft. So which is a better move, taking the 3rd best player with the 5th pick, or taking the 12th? Yes, O line needs help, but there is plenty of O line talent in this draft. Those who are stuck on Sewell are chasing need, not drafting BPA.

That’s because they need a better oline. It’s been bad for 5 years

And quality O line help can be found outside of the first round.

Yep. The guy the entire board wanted this FA (Joe Thuney) was a 3rd rounder.

What does Joe Thuneys draft slot have to do with anything related to the bungles?
Are they magically going to turn into a sharp/savvy organization because of hope?

People legit act like Sewell is the only offensive lineman in this draft.
Everything in this post is my fault.

My heart wants Chase, but my head says Sewell or Slater. Burrow can’t complete a pass to ANYONE if he’s constantly under pressure. You have to go OL. It’s the best long term move.

Part of the reason we’ve been in such bad shape at G the last couple years was the sudden retirement of Clint Boling. Who was a very solid player for us. Would you like to guess what round we drafted him in (I’ll just tell you it was the 4th).
I’m all for being critical of the team when it’s deserved. And we have been drafting extremely poorly on the OL for a while now, but that also extends to even our 1st rounders like Ogbuehi and Price. It’s no guarantee that if we take Sewell or Slater they’re going to be the All Pros that many here are penciling them in as.
People really need to relax with the whole “1st round OL or bust” hysteria. There is going to be some really good players on day 2 this year. It’s a deep class.

Good teams don't draft in the top 10/5/1 for years. We are not a good team. If the BPA is a QB do we draft one? How did we end up with John Ross? You don't reach, but BPA is when you have wants, not needs.
Sewell likely won't be Willie Anderson 2.0, but that is a position group that has struggled for years and has to be addressed. Receivers were not the worst position group on the team. They are not the group that have been ranked towards the bottom of the league again and again. These "weapons" don't help the run game, which if it remains poor, is dangerous for the QB. If he has no time to drop back and have receivers run routes, that weapon means nothing. They can double our "best receiver" because they can get pressure/sacks with the front four against our poor O-line.
The settling for lower ranked O-line in later rounds to get another receiver who won't finish his route before the whistle blows is crazy. Burrow is a massive investment for the team and having the best protection for him is important. Otherwise, we are likely looing at the back-up QB again.

You literally asked where he saw it, and he provided the source. No one is doubting many have Sewell ranked much higher.

Yeah, it’s really getting annoying. And I’ve been on the Sewell bandwagon longer than most here. But I’m open to other options. Guys like Chase and Pitts would be great additions.
