If the kid plays guard for us at any point this year your in luck. This is a 3rd round reach by the team. Hell they couldve kept trading back to the end of the 2nd round and still gotten Carmen and 10 6th and 7th round picks.

He projects to be a quality NFL G according to ESPN. Downgraded because they dont think he can be above average at T.

I don't know if it's worth it, but better trade up in front of Pittsburgh if wanna get Creed too. I can see them looking at Creed.

Hmmm...
Not sure what to think of this. Should we have not traded down and just grab BPA (who the pats took)? Should we have stayed put and reached on eichenberg who people on here were high on? Is this a good pick? or are we reaching for a need that we passed on in the 1st? Smells like a the draft where we reached on two tackles and neither panned out. Maybe he’s a good prospect though??

Jackson Carman is a former 5 Star recruit that played at 330. He is very smooth mover that is a monster in the run game and was a huge part of Travis Etienne success at Clemson. His biggest issues were inconsistantcy vs speed rushers off the edge but didnt give up an inch go power rushers. And yes he measured under that 33' arm msrck that will likely slide him inside but for a guy with short arms he plays at length and with very heavy hands which is impressive for a guy coming out of college.

Disagree, Carman is about as good of a Guard as you could get in this class that can also play Tackle. Road grading run blocker, cannot believe people are hating on this pick, but eh. No surprise with some. Also traded back and added a pick. Great job.

Wooooow.
Aaron Banks in the 2nd. If people think Carman was a reach, this was a HUGE reach.

As a guard he’s a good prospect, I was glad basically called out that was the plan. We are going outside zone, taking guys who can move and putting them inside is a really good approach.

So, basically they get Carman and 2 4th rounders for 38. How do these rumors get out? I see zero advantage to the team for this being reported. |
