First Depth Chart
#1
Michael Jordan is currently listed as 1st team RG. Injuries might be playing into that call. Smith #2 LG

When people say we didn't do enough to upgrade the line...this is what they meant by that.

How bad to you have to be to not beat out a guy on IR with a season ending injury?   SMH

No one is paying serious attention to depth charts yet, including the team. The presence of Adeniji on that list proves that.

Jonah will go down with an injury and Hakeem will trot on the field with his arm in a sling

Disappointing to see, but still doesn’t hold much weight yet. I’ve read about Carman’s struggles and this seems to prove that out to a certain extent. He’s not even the first man up behind Michael Jordan. We’ll get a better look this Saturday when he hits the field.

From an OL perspective, this doesn’t look very appetizing, no matter how you slice it. Hoping some guys really push and make changes to this before week 1.

Of course these aren't worth the paper they're written on, but it's gotta be a kick in the teeth to the other OTs on the team to be listed behind a hurt dude.

Probably not, since they know it doesn't mean anything

If you think so, but it seems the rest of the roster is pretty accurate. Maybe an oversight, maybe motivation. I for one hope it was to send a subtle message.

That is the part that should worry everyone. Everyone listed as a starter makes sense and is the logical choice, then you look again at the Guard spot and think... is this guy really going to be going out there as a starter again?

Even moreso than the injured guys, Chris Evans is the second-lowest RB (and if Pooka is truly becoming a WR, then Evans is the LOWEST RB).

That's the biggest indication that this is a nominal DC at best.

Except if you look at the depth chart and see what they have done for all the 3rd string guys at any position.

It looks like they did 1st and 2nd string guys and then for 3rd string, it is based off experience and then alphabet. 3rd string is just 3rd string and those battles come down to ST's play and pre-season showing. So, Evans is where he belongs, he is a 3rd string guy who has to earn the spot and until they see him in live action, no real way to rank him.

I refuse to believe Jordan will be the week one starter. Especially when this is the type of stuff we’re still seeing from him (from The Athletic)…

With push coming into Burrow’s face as left guard Michael Jordan was shoved back into the pocket, Burrow took a slight slide, step forward and delivered a strike to the sideline that narrowly buzzed beyond the reach of cornerback Chidobe Awuzie and into the hands of Chase. The catch looked close as Chase toe-tapped the sideline but the NFL officials on hand ruled it a completion.

Zac already eluded to some of the young guys getting more first team reps because they are getting them ready for preseason game 1. This is just preseason game 1 practice week depth chart. By week 1 of regular season, it will probably look different on the OL.

This is really old news.  This was the chart released at the start of TC.

No matter how different it looks, the depth is really scary.

1 injury and let the shit show begin.

Shouldn't read too much into depth charts, but it is "interesting" MJ got the nod especially given he just moved to RG. Hard not to take something away from that.

Hopefully it mean he's a better RG the LG, and maybe has improved. He has been getting the starting reps over Jackson.

I know I'm going to sound like a smartass, but I never knew, "S," was above, "H," and, "M," and, "H," was above, "G."

It's a nominal DC, period.
