When Burrow threw the INT in the end zone up 10 points, how did the defense respond? They got the ball back for the offense on downs. Fricking amazing.
But yes, Burrow and Chase are incredible.
Defense is the ONLY phase of this team that has played pretty much a consistent lights out 60 minutes a game!

Every game.
If our Offense played even a bit as consistent as our D we would be 7-0.
I like our Defense as good as anyone right now.

If we keep playing to win and stay focused we WILL make a run for the Super Bowl.

The defense is getting it done and without the big money CB.
Think of how good they'd be if they were getting their moneys worth at CB.

I assume you refer to Trey Waynes? Doesn't matter how good a player is if he isn't on the field!

Yes, I am.
Sauce Gardner would look nice at CB to replace him.

I would like the Sauce to stay in Cincy.

Be weird seeing him with a different number. Should have a 1 on 1 competition with 10 reps, whoever wins the most gets the number.

Yeah, Chase and him would have some good matchups. A1 Sauce is a damn good nickname though lol

I'd take that against this defense any time.

Yep. I think they had 14 sacks on Burrow last year lol.

It's not gonna look good...
Offensive Line
The Bengals had a mediocre day in pass protection, posting a 58.1 pass-blocking unit grade. They allowed 14 pressures on 39 pass-blocking snaps and one sack. The group was slightly worse in run blocking with a 53.5 run-blocking grade. Tackle Jonah Williams led Cincy in snaps with 63, but he also posted the line’s worst pass-blocking grade (41.1), giving up the team’s lone sack and four QB hits.

They were shaky early on (especially Jonah), but I thought they were much better in the 2nd half.

It was mentioned in the gameday thread, Jonah looked like a rookie out there. He was getting beaten and pushed back too easily.
The team is winning and looks good but at some point they are going to have to do more for the OL.

Yeah. The Ravens are going to bring pressure. 1 sack is outstanding. You can't view every team through the same glass. 14 pressures given up against the Ravens is different than 14 pressures given up to a lesser defense.

They're definitely going to have to be able to get those 3-1 or 3-2 conversions on the ground.
That is the real area of weakness with this O-line, outside of Burrow getting pressured/roughed.
