That guy is the biggest ass kisser on the planet. And it's not just because he's as tall as an average man's ass.

You can delete that last part from tweets before hitting "post reply", so it doesn't show up.

I was referencing future years, we extend JoeB after this season. Mixon has a 8M dead cap hit this year, not an option

Future years i could see as a possibility since his cap it in '24 will be 13.1M with only 2.7M dead. Next year, like they were saying, i can't see that at all.

But, I think the cap is supposed to rise A LOT.

I agree that Mixon would more likely of the two. And yeah, we'll see how the affects things. Lots of young guys to extend these next couple years, a good problem to have.

So if this was already mentioned i apologize but it sounds like the deal was for 20 million.

The fans helped...from Hobson article

Collins: "This fan base has been amazing," said Collins of his selfie soiree through Kenwood with a mask that still gave him away. "They embraced me since I got on my flight (from Dallas) here.

"It means so much to me to feel that love and appreciation for me as a player and respect for knowing what I bring to the table and I'm just looking forward to making sure they can get a return on the investment. I can't wait."

Wasn't me. But I think having a good offensive line locked up for a few years will make it easier for others to see.

There are obvious exceptions to that rule with those 3 spots. We could pick the next Kelce/Gronk/Kittle in the mid-rounds this year.

Very happy, but also not happy for all the people here that went into disaster mode when there were rumors he would not be signed.   Tongue

But hey friends, we have a decent O-line now.   Rock On

I thought the third year may be a voidable year to keep his cap hit down to make a run at Gilmore, but the "different kind of deal" statement is a bit confusing.

I hadn't seen this, so I'm assuming this would be essentially a 2yr deal in the way that Reiff's 2nd yr was an opt out.  Or does the team have no guaranteed money in the 3rd? Thrilled that the deal is so affordable and Jonah can't handcuff us now.

Actually I believe it will be Mixon and Higgins.

Really don't see them having to go high on WR just yet though, WR's seem to be NFL ready coming out these days and the defense still needs bolstering.

Would like a RB in this draft in 3rd or 4th round though because Bengals will be running the ball a lot and Mixon is already getting too many carries.

We need Mixon healthy throughout the season and playoffs. Alleviating some of his workload could help immensely imo.

With going to a 17 game schedule (and potentially long playoff runs the next few years), I think having a good backup RB to limit Mixons carries would be a plus. Evans could still turn out to be that guy, but I also wouldn't be opposed to a 3rd/4th round RB if the right guy was there. It would have been really nice if we would have gotten that comp pick, but John Ross had to drop it (again) for us.
