It's definitely up there with "A.C. Green".

This.

There isn't a person walking the face of the planet that would want the nickname macaroni.

Especially, a person that's the starting QB of an NFL team.

Turrrrr'ble.

Not sure about this nickname.  When the heat is on, noodles get soft.
I think he should be Macaroon because then McCarron would be sweet like a macaroon.  Either that or Big Mac, but that might be a stretch.  Hmmm.  On second thought, macaroni is fine.

Well not only is he 1/32nd Italian but also there  is this thing called elbow macaroni. Elbow macaroni is widely known as the finest, tastiest, highest quality macaroni there is.  And since AJ macaroni will in fact be using his elbow to take this league by storm, this nickname is perfect.

When you're right you're right.  If he doesn't live up up to the backup qb hype, I say we lose the "Mc" and just call him Caron.  It's a lovely name.

Brad will need to see footage to make that one stick for the top spot.  Andy is a tough one to knock out of his spank bank rank.

I just realized Big Mac would be too close to Big Ben.  Macaroni it is.

Not to mention you can't add the prefix "Big" to someone in the NFL who is 210 pounds. Guy is only 5lbs heavier than Gio, stretched out on 6" more of body. Newton has 35lbs on him.

Side note, I was looking at big QBs to compare, and I had to laugh at Ben Roethlisberger's weight on his NFL.com profile. It has him at 240 at age 33, when he was listed at 241 in his 2004 draft profile. You'd have a hard time convincing me that Cam Newton is 5 lbs heavier than Roethlisberger.

So I'll just go ahead and put you down as a yes for macaroni. I'll  just write it in pencil though, you know, in case you change your mind.

@LeonardLeap: Roethlisberger looks 260ish to me. Honestly he doesn't even look in shape. It defies logic that he's so nimble in the pocket when it looks like he's someone that snacks on jelly donuts and bacon.

So it's AJ macaroni from here on out right? Yeah, it's gotta be. Has a nice ring to it. AJ macaroni.

Not a good nickname....too cheesy.
