We have 3 weeks to wrap our brains around it
#1
There is a very high likelihood the Bengals will be playing the steelers in the wildcard round. We have 3 weeks to accept it and change the way we are thinking of that game. We need to stop with the negativity and have the entire fanbase quit being scared little Nancys. The Bengals are the better team. They have shown that all season. We as fans need to start sending out the positive energy and get rid of the negativity.

Why do you think the browns and bills always find a way to lose? Because everyone believes they will and they fulfill that destiny. The negativity surrounding those teams is rampant. The Bengals can and will beat the steelers. We beat them at their place. We beat them in prime time 2 years ago. We lost to them with a back up QB and decimated secondary last week. But even with those factors, you take away the 2 big mistakes and the Bengals win 20-19.

Stpo putting the negative energy and doubt out there! Turn that "we always lose to the steelers" into "the Bengals will beat the steelers" and believe it! We will create our own reality. What better launching point for a deep run in the playoffs than breaking our streak against our most hated rivals? Its time for we the fans to change our narrative. You have 3 weeks to wrap your head around the fact that the steelers will be coming here for the playoffs. Embrace it. Look forward to it. Get excited for the fact that we will be knocking the hated steeelers out of the playoffs. Think of all the butthurt it will create for steeler fans! Who could ask for anything better?

Bring on the steelers!

Actually all we have to do is win on Monday night and it isn't happening. It's that simple.

Winning on Monday night will be great. But we will also embrace a playoff match up with the steelers!

If what the fans thought carried any weight, we would have been doomed before the season started.

If we can't beat Denver, we can't beat the Steelers. So I agree with Joe, our chances for playoff success will be decided Monday night.

Obviously the majority feel differently. Not the negative few on here. But I am looking for all fans to change their narrative and look forward to beating the steelers.

It would definitely be a poetic way to end our Playoff win drought.. Beating our hated rival the Steelers

It all depends on Andy's health. If(and its a big if) he is out there for the playoffs then we can beat any team in the NFL. We have everything you want in a team. Good WR core check, good o line check, good Secondary check, good Dline check, good RBs check, and since Vontaz returned a good LB core. The only question this team has is who will be playing at QB? If it is Dalton your talking about a guy who completes 66% of his passes, over 8 yards attempt, and a QB rating over 100 for the use. This team doesn't have a terrible unit on it if we're reasonably healthy the sky is the limit.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Personally I could not stand another Steelers-Bengals game at least for this year. The last one was so nasty and painful I had to quit watching. If it happens that they end up playing again, I will watch because I'm a fan and it means a chance to watch the Steelers lose which is one of my not-so-guilty pleasures. But if a Bengal player gets their knee wasted by a leg whip or someone like Kevin almost gets his head torn off, I'll have to turn it off.

We are gonna beat Denver.

However, PIT is playing hot right now and we could see them later in the playoffs. In which case, we will sock them in the mouth and ragdoll Big Jen and his gay receivers.

We will beat Denver Monday night. Too bad we can't beat Pittsburgh Monday night also. Both should not feel confident about facing this Cincinnati team. Both would lose. Starting next week. And if we have the fortunate chance to meet Pittsburgh again this year, great! Bring it on. Bring on Kansas City, Houston, New England, whoever, just bring it - cause it's going to be a great day to be a Bengals fan!

This^^^^^. Good thing our players don't feel the way a lot of people around the boards do. The way it sounds by a lot around here, there is no need to even play  Rant
Thanks ExtraRadiohead for the great sig

Well you should be the first to stop the negativity.  You're already ASSUMING that we will lose to Denver!!!

Actually if we beat Denver then the Stealers are on a different playoff track completely.

The best they could do then is be the 6th seed. And in that case if they prevail in the first game (against Denver in Denver) then they would go to New England. We would host the winner of what right now is Chiefs at Texans. So the only way we would see the Stealers again if we win Monday night is if we win our Divisional Round game and the Stealers beat the Pats in Foxboro.

The Bengals are winning Monday night and then Pittsburgh is going to lose to New England.  Simple as that!

You know how bad we'd look against the Steelers if we lost to them in the playoffs??

We'd be the laughing stock in the division / whole league ... Even though we're a playoff team. It's time to put up or shut up.

Can't be any worse than we already are. What are they gonna say....one and done again? We're already there. In other words, we can't be any worse off if we lose to them. But we can cause major butthurt to steeler fans when we win. We can tell them theyre the new one and done team. First tebow, then the ravens, now us.

The Browns continue to lose because they're a terribly run organization that has no direction or leadership. It has nothing to do with bad energy from their fan base.

Our thoughts (Bengals fans) has nothing to do with whether the Bengals will or won't win a playoff game. No matter how much we want them to win or root for them to win...it will come down to real things like game planning, preparation, execution, tackling, converting 3rd downs, play in the trenches, etc...not vibes from the fan base.

I'm sure the overwhelming majority are 'excited' about the prospect of finally getting that elusive playoff win, but at the same time, for some...that excitement is a little guarded because of recent playoff disappointments.

I agree that we have the talent to beat anyone in the postseason, especially if fairly healthy. Now, it's just a matter of them actually going out and proving it. I'll be hoping, wishing and rooting as hard as anyone, but it's up to the coaches and players to go out and make it happen.

I fell better about Pittsburgh than Denver. Our defense is leaps and bounds better than their offense. If our secondary is healthy, their running game won't be enough.

I really like our chances in the playoffs.
