Steelers: 3rd worst NFL cheaters
#1
At least according to "You Team Cheats: The definitive guide to NFL cheating", a website that has been tracking scandals, illegal hits, fines, suspensions, etc.

http://yourteamcheats.com/PIT

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/steelers-deemed-as-second-worst-cheaters-in-nfl-051815

PIT had a score of 40.

#1 was DEN with a score of 48.

#2 was the Jets at 44.

The Pats were 16th with a score of 20.

The Bengals were tied for 27th with a score of 12.

An interesting read. Thoughts?

Shouldn't the Patriots be #1 since they've, you know, actually been caught LITERALLY cheating?

No.  But only because the site is ran by a Pat's fan.   Smirk

No. I think they give the Pats credit for being so open about their cheating. Hilarious

I did notice that on the site, the Pats had a lot of "gates" which were unresolved or (meaning, no rating) 'false accusations'. Interesting.

After reading this, there is little doubt a Pats fan created it.

I'm not sure how much I buy into their rating system. I just like to give a little jab at the Steelers every once in while (read 'stirring the pot'). I did find it an interesting read, however. You'll notice that, with the exception of the Patriots, there is generally a high correlation between a franchises visibility and on-field success with how they rate on here. And that makes a certain degree of sense. Fans from a winning team don't get as butt-sore about an alleged offense if their team walks away with a win or has a winning record. That is just human nature. Therefore, you wouldn't expect them to cast as many stones at teams that aren't as visible or productive IMO.

Going off memory they were not banned until the mid 80's.

Ugh, I thought this inane list had faded into memory.  It's a lame attempt by a Pats shill to exonerate, or mitigate their favorite team's unparalleld level of routine and deliberate rule breaking.  I could easily dissect why the list is stupid but I honestly don't care enough.

That site gave a ton of cheating points to the 1963 Chargers for having trainers hand each play steroids every day in practice. The Steelers were award cheating points because the 1970's team was apparently a head of the steroid curve - a decade after the chargers. Rolleyes

The Ravens got more cheating points in their last Super Bowl than the Pats got for spygate and deflate combined - and it wasn't even for cheating. It was about a comment Flacco made on the sideline and nothing more.

You mean that I could have been popping them things like candy and shooting them into my veins all through school, and now have pattern baldness, small testicles, and anger management problems?

Dang! I miss out on all the fun!!!

You missed out on looking like and acting like the Steeler's fan base.

I wouldn't call that 'missing out.
