Panthers plan to release safety Von Bell if he can't be traded, per league source. Bell is set to count $10,945,000 against the 2024 cap. He is due a $3 million roster bonus on March 16. @TomPelissero first reported.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Indeed.

Not in a starting role, but welcome as a back up.

Insurance would not be terrible, if the price is right, in case Stone was a one year wonder, or a product of the Ravens front seven.

Stone is a FS and Bell is SS so that part wouldn't matter.

Bell is a better option than the current back up behind Stone or Battle.

That part matters, and was my point.

I'll take a guard if we're looking to add depth/competition.

Except I don't think Bell would want to come here and be a backup

I agree.

Think we both agree the list doesn't end there!

Yep, which is why I don't see a Bengals/Bell reunion happening. Battle is the starter at SS, he earned it as a rookie.
