Day three OT, Giovanni Manu
#1
Per Tom Pelissero on X,

University of British Columbia LT Giovanni Manu visited the #Giants today — one of at least seven pre-draft visits for the 6-8, 352-pound behemoth.

Manu ran a 4.96 40 at his pro day. He also visited the #Cowboys and has the #Giants, #Jets, #Patriots, #Browns, #Bengals this week. https://twitter.com/kenfigkowboy/status/1776548352756256868/video/1

No idea how to post pictures or screen captures...

Is it a red flag when he compares his style of play that of Mekhi Becton?

I don't know that having a playing style similar to Becton would be a red flag, so long as his general health and durability are good.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

More a humorous take, as Becton was one of the FA's the Bengals brought in and got shredded on the boards.

Becton was really good in college and wasn't bad with Pollack his rookie year. Then the injuries and coaching changes, nothing wrong with a
giant, young OT modeling his game after one of the better giant, young OT's to come out in years even if he busted for various reasons.

Makes sense to look at Manu, we already have about the biggest starting OT duo in the NFL, nothing wrong with adding a talent like this late.

I was wondering that, but then when I thought about it; What would Becton have been like if he hadn't been injury plagued?

It would have been a classic Bengals move.

The guy was hurt, got hurt, and made the injury worse playing out of position (RT).

Bengals look to sign him to solve their RT issues...

I agree, was huge on him coming out of college, but injuries on a man that big, with such a dynamic game? Likely the end of his career, at least as a starter...

Good for him, I hope that he pans out and enjoys a successful career.
