Yahoo posted an article with odds from Vegas, and they must be liking our draft and the moves we made to protect Burrow because they're showing us love!
I realize that these aren't perfect, but there's a reason Vegas makes so much off things like this, and that's because they're right or close to being right 99.999999999 of the time:
Quote:Super Bowl LIX favorites
Kansas City Chiefs (+550)
San Francisco 49ers (+600)
Baltimore Ravens (+900)
Detroit Lions (+1200)
Buffalo Bills (+1400)
Cincinnati Bengals (+1400)
Houston Texans (+1400)
Philadelphia Eagles (+1600)
Dallas Cowboys (+1800)
Green Bay Packers (+2000)
Miami Dolphins (+2500)
New York Jets (+2500)
They must be liking our draft and the moves we made to protect Burrow because I'm loving the confidence!

We have a much better shot than Buffalo. I'd have us even with Baltimore and move Detroit to a little better shot than us.

Good good... my annual $50 wager on winning the Super Bowl will take a decent chunk out of the last 30 years of bet debt. (Damn you Aaron Donald!)

Too bad the Ravens have better odds. They still think we are only 2nd best in the division

Not really a believer in the Packers yet. And the Jets? Really? Like what are the odds that Aaron Rodgers even makes it through the season healthy?

It's probably accurate though. Ravens always seem to field a solid team even losing a lot of their starters. They always seem to find plug and play replacements that play well. Bengals will be lucky to win their division again let alone advance deep. Just my feelings but 55 years coming up short always has me doubtful.
And, I never count out Browns or Steelers as we have trouble beating either.

You do realize the "trouble beating the Browns" is only a recent phenomenon, right?

Bengals always struggle beating Browns or the other 3 in their division recent or not. The last blowout we beat the Browns was back with Dalton in Cleveland when they were in rebuild mode with Hue I think but before Mayfield. Bengals division is probably toughest in the league.

Yeah. Dalton was 13-5 (12-4 without Taylor) and Palmer was 10-4 against the Browns. That's pretty dominant. Not quite Rodgers-vs-Bears outright ownership, but still pretty one-sided.

I just happen to be in Vegas this week, and hung out at the MGM Sportsbook last night watching the Reds and Laker/Denver game. I'm in New York New York. I picked up the updated sport sheets as of 4-29.
Bengals are indeed 14-1 to win the championship.
Bengals are 15-2 to win the AFC Conference
Bengals are +165 to win the AFC North
Bengals over/under on victories before the draft was 10 1/2 and after the draft is still 10 1/2.
The Steelers over/under went from 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 in victories after the draft.
The Packers also went up. They went from 9 1/2 wins to 10 1/2 wins after the draft.
Those were the only teams whose odds changed favorably post draft.
The only team whose odds got worse were the Patriots. They went from a 5 1/2 down to 4 1/2 in wins after the draft.

Knowing Rogers he'll blame any failure to be in the SB on big gubernet Jewish space lasers.. It's a conspiracy I tell ya..a conspiracy!

And yet, those teams were 0-3 in just the last Playoffs and we are 5-2 in the Playoffs over the last 3 years.
With Burrow we have a shot at a SB win every year. Lamar and the Ravens choke in the Playoffs and so did the stealers and Browns last year.

What is the every year love affair with Buffalo? What about them makes them equal to the Bengals?

Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

The Bengals were AFCN champs back-to-back before this past season.
The Bengals went to back-to-back AFC Title games before last season. When did one of those better AFCN teams do that?
The Bengals were the last AFCN team to win the AFC Championship Game.
The Bengals were the last AFCN team to play in the AFC Championship Game.
The Bengals were the last AFCN team to play in the Super Bowl.
Just my feelings, but some fans need to read up on the Bengals conference and playoff success when Burrow is healthy.

Yep, once we get into the Playoffs with Burrow and a decent D we are a very hard out, unlike the other AFC North teams.

All true, you guys are correct. WITH a healthy Burrow. The team has changed since then so we will have to see if the new players can get it done. No doubt with a healthy JB we are a tough out. If JB has a setback with the wrist or god forbid another injury it will be another long season. He has had a rough 4 years with the knee rebuild, wrist, calf and whatever smaller issues he has had. Here's hoping for a full season and they get to the playoffs.

Last year I bet on the Bengals winning the Super Bowl and lost. I think I'll wait until later in the season this year. The odds may go down, but at least you have more current data like injuries.
