WR Depth

Tee, Irwin, and Yoshi all three had good catches tonight and Burton made TBs 2s and 3s look like kids. I have a feeling that he will be doing the same to some teams 1s real soon.

Injury would be the only reason this changes that is for sure. We will see how bad Chuck's injury is. Hakeem Butler should of got the PI
for us to win the game last night. That was worse than the PI that was called on our guy that put the Bucs at the 1 yard line. Hakeem
Butler could win the last spot if Chuck is hurt to start the season.

Agree that was a PI on Butler. I think that I read that Jones was alright. If he's healthy he's a lock for his return abilities alone. Ts, would like to see them find a way to keep Butler.

Week to week with Chuck, but yeah, if he is ready to go by the opener he makes the team for sure. Sure would like to keep Butler man, his
size and hands are honestly a lot like Tee. Would be nice to have a backup with these intangibles. Too bad TE is looking much deeper so we
cannot list him there now most likely unless someone gets hurt.

Such a deep WR core. IMO it is the deepest in the NFL now with Burton showing his fantastic explosion to replace Boyd. Yoshi has clearly made
huge strides with his hands and route running.

Jeffery Gunter and Cedric Johnson does give the Bengals an issue. How many DL can they keep? 6 DEs and 5 DTs is alot...

Yeah. There's not a single chance in hell that Ossai is getting cut.

I'm saying this as a complement not that we need to get rid of one...but if you needed to land a solid player like Irvin with a late to mid round pick for a starter level DE or versatile G/T I'm just saying they can survive.  Again not plan A, but it's not every year where we have this much depth at a position.

The move probably should’ve been Tee to Denver fot Surtain.

Not a bad idea honestly, I just think Irwin is too valuable to us right now with Chuck Sizzle once again injured and Irwin can Return Punts.

Irwin can do it all which is why he should make the team for sure. He can play all the spots and Return Punts.

Denver would of never went for that trade.

How about our TE depth? I think we're keeping three on the roster, but I'm not sure who's going to make it. My money is on Gesicki, Sample and All. I can see Hudson or McLachlan outplaying All and stealing the last spot on the roster, but they need to show up next week and make plays.

I like your list; let's hope for no injuries. There's 16 days and 2 preseason games until final cuts.  Jones, Yoshi, and Burton all need more snaps. I'm looking for 2 practice squad players at this point.

Did anyone see if the Bengals were playing a TE in the slot?  With Gesicki it was discussed as a possibility that I would expect to see reflected in preseason even when he isn't in the game.

I saw Hudson playing in the Slot a few times.

Ship never existed in the first place. You aren’t getting a young, top 5 CB, for Tee Higgins. Denver laughs and hangs up the phone if you call with that offer.

Plus, this is pretty much Ossai's Rookie Season...

Give him a chance

The last guy in this spot (24 year old, all pro CB) that got traded netted two first round picks, and some. That was Jalen Ramsey.

If anything it would have been Sutton/Surtain for Higgins and next years first. That still probably doesn’t work on Denver’s end.

The Bengals haven't waived/cut a 4th round pick their rookie season at least since the draft went to 7 rounds in '94. You get drafted in the 4th, you make the team for at least 1 year unless you're just a Grade A PoS and force their hands from a media/PR standpoint.

Even if we ignore the unwillingness to throw away a 4th round pick before a snap has been played, follow the money. Erick All got an $800k signing bonus. The Tanners got $160-180k each. They're not going to throw away a 4th round pick AND take an $800k dead cap hit to kick E All to the waivers.

You just doomed the entire season.

Seriously though. I don't understand why anyone still types this at all. No Bengals fans want an injury so why even bother saying it. It's like going to the store and saying "honey, i'll be right back, i'm gonna grab some milk." And she says "I hope you don't die before you get back".

Certain things don't need to be spoken, as they're givens.
