Different teams have diffferent goals with the preseason.

The Bengals are testing their depth.

The Bears are testing their rookie QB.

As long as context is remembered, the Bengals look like clear winners in this game regarding their goals.

More than kind of. That easy ass TD run doesn't help.  Whatever

Their job is to make people want to watch football, so they've got to be desperate to see a huge market like Chicago actually have something interesting to watch for the first time in nearly 40 years.

Agree 100% Caesar! I’m so impressed by how the defense has played

Looked like he was going to come in on offense but coaches stopped him.

Yayaya... I got to the restraunt just in time to see Caleb Williams escape TD and now will be done and out before the second half. Ugh.

It was rhe 3rd string defense vs Bears 1st string right?
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Halftime thoughts:
Njongmeta has nose for the ball. Reverse didn't fool him and he merely misjudged the speed of Odunze, who runs like he is not going very fast. Don't think he took a bad angle.
Still high on Newton. His PI I think was close enough to call, but it was a "good" penalty. If he didn't break WR offstride it might have been a TD as the throw was PERFECT. The sideline completion was another absolutely PERFECT throw. Newton had good coverage and showed good makeup speed. Bottom line he is in position and absent perfect throws, he breaks up both passes.

Overall, the young DBs read plays well and took away first options repeatedly.

Kirkland looks like a Boling clone. I think he sticks.

Just like that we're at mid-field.
