***Week 1 GameDay Thread - Patriots @ Bengals***
I think Burrow's wrist is hurt. He didn't attempt a long pass all day did he?

Guys like Reid, Shanahan, and McDaniel take shits more creative than Zac Taylor.

Fifteen teams, so far, scored over 16 points today, so I would say you are correct. Considering what we have ( apparently ) on offense, that should be a win.

To be fair they had/have the two of the best tight ends in history to throw to in Gronk and Kelce, helping to free up the receivers. This Bengals era, well last year and this year, could are less about the position.

They were doubling Chase most of the game nobody else could get open we exploited matchups with TE we had the Drop and the Fumble D was gassed at the end of the game. Our run blocking is terrible. stopping the run we were over pursue that can be fixed and taught on film.

One to Chase and another that was a PI call.

He had one of the best if not the best seasons a QB has ever had in college football.

He’s won more playoff games for the most inept franchise in the NFL with the most inexperienced unqualified coaching staff than they won combined in 3 decades.. Dealt with two season ending injuries.

Any franchise not name Chiefs would take Burrow in a heartbeat.

I recall our off-season ZT or BB poll where BB lost by a  McGovern-level margin.

That’s just the gameplan against Chase

Teams guard Chase like this every game. Put at least 2 guys deep and tell them both to eye Chase. And on top of that Chase is also bracketed by the linebackers so if he stops his route in the middle he’s still got someone right there.

Normal teams would move Chase around and motion him to create one on ones, but Dan Pitcher apparently went to playcalling school in the early 70s because there was barely any creativity today

I think we miss out offensive coordinator, because this offense was stagnant.

You all in Cincinnati need to start a fire Zac Taylor campaign. Billboards, posters, trash on his lawn (jk). Whatever it takes to get the guy run out of town.

28 yards to Chase was the longest completed pass. Don’t remember any incompletes longer than that. Hope he is just knocking off the rust. Reminded me today of how he looked coming off of injury last season. Tentative and a bit skittish. Even when he had good protection everything was short throws.

Matt Ryan basically calling out Taylor for how he handles the preseason.

So glad I wasn’t home to watch this. Sorry Joey but that window closed with a last second incompletion in LA.
Hope they don’t pay Chase or Higgins. What’s the point?

And well he should, starters need to play on the preseason.

Any idea who should replace Zac? It’s time for this particular Taylor Series to converge.
