Bengals are NOT the team to beat in AFC
#1
I know Chase said they are, but that don't make it so.  The back to back Super Bowl Chiefs are.  Then come last years Play-Off teams.  Bringing up the rear are teams such as Last in AFC North Bengals.  So to act like Bengals were in Super Bowl in February of 2024 is silly, their season had been over for weeks.

So just because Chase says it, does not make it so.  I still think Bengals could bounce back from a bad start and have a play-off season.  Let's not pretend Bengals are the back to back Super Bowl winners, because they just aren't.  Bengals are not even the AFC North Champs of last season.

They aren’t even the team to beat in their division.

Only 1 game has been played and it's like the sky is falling. How about letting them play a few games and get a better idea where they stand at that point.

Yeah of course we aren’t.

We’ve only got one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

The best 1-2 punch WR duo in the league.

An explosive RB and. Cow bell RB working in tandem.

An OL while not the best many in the league would gladly swap for with a rookie mountain about to join the fray.

An elite pass rusher in Trey

An athletic secondary mixed with experience.

It was one game, people are way too quick to write this team off ffs.

Some of you still seem to think we have Marv and Dalton running the show.

In 2022 The Bengals were the team to beat in the AFC.  Why ?  Because they won the AFC in 2021.  Going into 2024, Bengals are not the team to beat. Why ?  Because the finished last in AFC North in 2023.  So even though Chase has made National Media with this statement, Bengals are far from the repeating AFC Champs going into 2024.

However, and even if they lose at Kansas City and start 0-2, I think Bengals can win around 12 games this season and make play-offs.  If they start 0-2, I look for them to get to 2-2 and get hot from there.

One of best quarterbacks - I can agree, top 5

Not the best 1-2, I’d say Hill and Waddle. And higgins isn’t even playing

Explosive rb- not even close. Brown is fast. That’s it. He’s not explosive and hasn’t proven he should even be an nfl starter

O line- fair assessment

Trey- agree but rest of line sucks

Athletic secondary- who doesn’t have athletes at S? Our guys can’t either tackle or cover. None can do both.

This team is very average across the board. The difference maker needs to be burrow. If he plays like he did against patriots we wont have a winning season

This is football perfection. We are super good but can still play the "no one believes in us" card.

Right now, nobody believes in us. Burrow says he's not on any social media and doesn't read much about how people feel, I wonder if Zac printed out all the quotes about Burrow right now, "we've seen the best of him", "he's average without stud WRs", etc. The best of the best take that personally.

If you want something different, you have to act different. Zac has to switch it up to motivate somebody out there.

I would definitely be showing him. Maybe show him some kids going through hard times. They look forward to seeing the Bengals win and you’re letting them down.

That's the Bengals of 2 years ago. Not sure the current Bengals are that good.

It was one game against one of the worst teams in the league.

Maybe we come out and look great this week. Never know?

We should know more Sunday. I thought KC and the Ravens looked very good for an opening game. Teams are funny. Teams like the Pats are more geared to strong starts to the season. Better teams are focused on the entire season. We’ll see but I’m expecting a strong showing by Cincy on Sunday.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

We actually have the slowest Safety room in the NFL.

Everyone knows the Chiefs defense are going to be heavy man coverage. I would like to see the Bengals actually prepared with their scripted plays. On Defense... Tackle.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

KC is definitely a heavy man defense, but Im not sure why Spags wouldnt go a ton of Cover 2 keeping everything in front like the Patriots did?  At least until we prove we can be successful against it.

Two ways to beat Cover 2 is a successful run game, we dont run the ball, and underneath passes with yards after the catch, we are currently last in the NFL in YAC (or close to it).

I never had them as team to beat, but they were in my to 5 in AFC, t lose tomorrow will put them outside looking into top 5
