It was better but things I don’t get...

Practice squad WR letting the ball hit him in the facemask in the endzone

TE dropping 1st down in his belly, next play fumble TD.

Chase, being a stupid idiot costing us 3 points.  Edit Chase cost us field position, it was still pathetically stupid.

McPherson missing an extra point.

We will play a 7th round rookie safety in his second game vs Mahomes – he has 2 costly penalties, but we wont play a 3rd round rookie averaging 45 yds per catch?

Where in the hell is Battle?

Joe was still off on some throws and still has happy feet.

Brown averaging 10 more yds per carry than Moss but wont give him the ball.

Never went back to All or Burton.

Surprising:

Defense was crap early but turned it on without Rankins and Hill.  Good to see.

Chase didn't cost us 3 did he? We kicked a FG that drive (just longer than it should have been). He did kill the drive from being more though.

It was a good performance, littered with game-losing errors. Run Defence is a concern for certain.

Chase did not cost us 3, we kicked FG but it could have been 3rd and short we have the ball. The turnover from Burrow for aTD was difference in ga.e more than anything.

In the course of a game there are these on both sides. I know you are down on it all this year but look at the TE’s? We contained Chris Jones. We contained Kelce.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

All of these are good and fair questions. It's like the coaches don't know what players they have and how to use them correctly. The mistakes and penalties, Good college teams play cleaner and more disciplined than Bengals do.

Did we kick a FG there?  I remember the short pass to Gesicki, maybe so.  I was so frustrated over Chase's ignorance.  And he was wrong.  Imagine being an a idiot and pushing your team back AND being wrong?

I think if/when Tee comes back, Burton being the "#3" might smoke some people. It's going to cause problems, if Burrow get enough time back there.

I have to imagine he's at least 1% irritated because of the contract situation and that he had to take a 50 million dollar injury policy out on himself. In my head he's not THAT mad if he was paid already!

Zac is 37–46–1 (.446) which is really bad!

he was 6-25-1, I will never forget that or let anyone else forget that. I still think burrow is the only reason it's turned around.

yet again in a hole where we have to rip off a 10 game win streak. no clue how, division defenses are way better than ours.

Yeah we did, but Chase took it from being 3rd and short(ish) to it being 3rd and forever... Burrow did well to put us back in FG range. So he didn't cost us 3, but may have cost us the opportunity for 3 on top of that (a TD).

It was petulant and the kind of thing you don't want to see from your star WR in crunch time.

Im not down on it all.  That is going way too far.

I wanted more of Eric All, more of Burton, more of Chase Brown.  I want practice squad players to sit.

I do not want to see a 7th round safety vs Mahomes.  Why is Battle relegated to the punt team?

Lots of positives, but still lots of questions.

Nope it was all Zac, Burrow and Chase's arrival was simply coincidental.....

All those things are called playing sports. Everybody screws up now and again. Babe Ruth struck out most of his bats.

Doesn't seem like his head is in a great place.  Might be sweating his lack of stats while he still lacks an extension.  I'd say the league knows what he is by now, but it's going to be tough to put up big numbers when defenses can dedicate that much attention to him without repercussions.

My expectations for this team absolutely rose after today's game, which is really all I wanted. The win was in our hands though.....

I’d rather force the ball to Chase over giving Irwin half a dozen targets every week.

Time for Irwin to sit next to Hudson so they can chat about their 12 years of practice squad experience.  These 2 dont play for many teams.

Fell much better about this loss than last week. We did some good things ( I am not Marvin Lewis ). A bunch of mistakes made.
Hendrickson is awesome, but I think that absent of him, we are pretty suspect everywhere on defense. Flash and trash every series.
Maybe we discovered TEs can be a great benefit to our offense. Let's use that.
Think we can pay attention who is the #1 running back.
Irwin should be an HVAC tech or something.
Bribe Higgins with whatever to make him come back.
Like a teenage girl driving a Ferrari.
