Early Season Burrow

89 year old Mike Brown stuck in his ways, doesn't want to see a ring before he croaks.
Burrow said he could play , obviously he was limited, Chase is under contract not missing anything,  has a very good offer on table it sounds, Higgins smart move not to resign, better served to put $$ in Oline....

Mike Brown offered Chase the same money JJ got.  Lame

The upfront guaranteed money was not even close. It was less than some WR2’s got.

That will have to change next Offseason and we will be able to afford it with not having to pay Tee the Franchise Tag to sit inactive.

BTW, good on Kyler Murray finally playing well. Wink

The amount of the contract was exactly the same though. The argument was about when the guarantees kicked in. Seems like some want us to negotiate like Cleveland and just guarantee everything.

Which is the problem - they have to escrow in cash any guarantee amount which is due and not already paid. If they don't have the cash it isn't happening. Hopefully by end of season they will have that type of cash. What REALLY needs to happen is a new league rule that junks the escrow rule and instead the league itself guarantees all contracts. Work with an insurer and each team has a policy that insures all their contracts for which premium is paid - trust me a good P&C insurer can and will craft a policy that makes everyone happy.

Coincidence that it just so happened to be after Call of Duty MW III was bad? We'll see how he holds up after October when Black Ops 6 comes out.   Ninja

And if Chase was smart he would have signed the offer, and used a fraction of that money to insure himself for more than 50 mil.

LOL

Adding a bonafide stud WR always helps, too.
