Probably the most impressive block I have seen a rookie TE ever do as a Bengal. Drew Sample is arguably the best blocking TE in
the NFL and he has problems with Ends. Karlaftis rag dolled Trent Brown in this very game and a rookie TE came in and owned him.

Really like Erick All, a ton and I was not for the pick at the time and wanted a RB instead. Haven't seen a rookie come in and look so
reliable as a mid round pick.

All is what we thought Drew Sample would be as a second round pick.

Guys still knocking Sample, he didn't choose to be over drafted but go back and watch some of the big run plays they are using Sample on split zone run plays and he is coming inside and clearing dudes out. I legit kind of want us to run more 12/13 personnel. If we can start establishing the pass out of it we will see a big improvement in the run as well.

EA sports is a monster and he's good in the pass game. The quicker he gets more snaps, the better this team is. Same with Chase Brown. The guy may not have good vision (supposedly) but when he touches the ball, things happen. 

I just have no faith that Zac is able to see who is more apt to help the team going forward and/or who has the hot hand in a game. I haven't watched a replay yet but i remember thinking twice, Burrow just checked out of a run but i don't recall how the plays turned out. At some point, that son-of-a-***** is gonna have to learn how much a good run game will help him.

I blasted him as much as anyone from the time he was drafted. I've come around to being a fan. He has a solid place on this roster and he busts his tail on every play.

I’m impressed with All and 2 games in he is our most impactful rookie. I think between him Mims and Burton you nailed the offensive side of the ball in the draft.

 I feel like Daijahn Anthony has been the most impactful rookie so far

Why I certainly agree Chase Brown deserves more touches and would love to figure a way to get him the ball in space. It looks like his four runs this past Sunday the blocking was really good on them. But quickness to take advantage of it certainly helps. I also saw stats that while we haven't run much we are 7th in run play efficiency. 

Yeah like everyone else I am really liking ALL. Seems to be an efficient blocker as well as a very smooth pass catcher. I wasn't quite as high as alot of the pundits about the fact that all the draft picks made the team. But if the rookie DTs can get healthy and actually make an impact this draft might turn out to be a very good one.

Could you imagine the film room meeting if this team had some old school minded individuals running the offense and OL? "...and look at this play, where Trent get's rag dolled by Karlaftis, Trent, how in the hell are you going to allow yourself to get thrown around by a man 100# smaller than you?..." 

On that play 2 of the 4 KC rushers looked like they gave up. The 3rd one spun away from Burrow instead of toward him, the 4th one looked like he was trying. It was awkward and not the first time I see the rushers not try hard enough at the goal line and Burrow gets time to just stand there.

12 personnel with Sample and All should be our default offense, IMO. Try to do as much as possible from this package AND RUN THE BALL MORE in general.

I wasn't knocking Sample at all, I even said he was one of the best blockers in the entire NFL. Just said this was really impressive by All.

Even in our new school meeting I bet Trent is taking some shit for that.

Nothing against Karlaftis, but he shouldn't make a guy that big look that weak while our rookie TE owns him.

I remember Drew getting owned by Twatt one game at least and was saying you shouldn't be having your TE block an End like that.

Usually it is not a good idea. Sure is cool when it does work out with Sample against Parsons and All against Karlaftis but it is rare.

Tackles cant block TJ Watt.  But I'm not sure how rare it is?  TEs are asked to block edge rushers every game.   Granted not many do it very well consistently

True.

One on one for a TE to be able to hold up on a block vs a top End is very rare. 

Usually TE's are only used to chip and that is the smart way to use them.

Was going to say what everyone else has, Nate: exceptional players he may struggle at times, but Sample has stonewalled or not allowed pressures on ends quite a bit.

He's prone to bullrushing, but he still holds his ground and doesn't allow pressures, like in the Ceej TD against Bmore (he's on rollerskates, but remains engaged so Burrow can move up in the pocket and the DE just runs by him):
