Fire Zac Taylor right now..
Zac's contract runs through the 2026 season. I assume he remains with the Bengals at least until then.

I'm going to assume the thoughts posted by the OP and those with the same sentiment are purely emotional (for the record have not read the thread), because it'd be beyond STUPID to fire Zac Taylor right now (Destro is the only one this does not apply to as he's called for ZT's firing since before he was hired). 1-4 is a bad record, but it's not insurmountable. Firing Zac NOW is essentially saying the season's over and just because YOU think it is at 1-4 does not mean it ACTUALLY is.

Zac Taylor did NOT call 3 straight runs, Burrow changed to a run and then Zac called 2 runs. Yes, I, too, wish he would've been more aggressive but a 50 yard FG isn't exactly a tough make for McPherson. It was a fluke hold by Rekhow that caused the miss and if you want to blame the rookie, go ahead, but it's the first issue he's had all season.

And it's not like Zac had Burrow intentionally throw an INT. I don't even blame Burrow for that; that was more of Jamar's issue. We were an INT and then a bad hold away from winning the game.

Clearly, the biggest issue (like average Steeler fan size issue) is our defense. Why people are calling for ZAC's head and not Lou's just shows the intelligence level of some of the fans (again Destro is exempt from this).

I was discussing this with a board member this morning.....the fans ran Palmer and Dalton out of town because they couldn't be perfect every game to mask the shortcomings of other units. When will they turn on Joe? He had a beautiful game, then threw a terrible INT. It *shouldn't* have lost the game, but it did. I called it as soon as he threw it. Game. Over. Why? Because I KNEW there wouldn't be a stop on defense. Everyone is up in arms because they chose to avoid any chance for another choke job interception and rely on that high dollar kicker the team has (I guess people want to pay Mac to sit on the bench) to win the game. Instead, the holder choked.

If you want the truth, it is this: the game was over the minute Joe threw that pick (I'm not blaming him, because it shouldn't have mattered). The inevitable was only delayed by Lamar Jackson trying to give them the game. If he doesn't fumble there, it's game over. They would have scored. Has this defense stopped anyone all ***** year? Serious question.

Zac Taylor is just the new Andy Dalton because of the Joe Burrow fan club. Many more INTs, and they'll turn on him too. Meanwhile, defense gives up over 500 yards and it's crickets.  LMAO

Dalton did not get run out of town because he was not perfect in every game. Dalton got "run out of town" because almost every time he had to play in the bright lights of Prime Time or the Playoffs he folded and became "Bad Andy"

It's already started. Hell, it started before this game. There were a few posters posting how Burrow wasn't clutch after I think the Chiefs game, maybe even the Patriots game.

I could understand people thinking Zac is carried by Burrow (which, admittedly, to a point he is) but after having a winning season last season with an injured Burrow should show that ZT is a pretty good dang HC (if 2 AFCCGs, 1 Super Bowl appearance, and 3 straight winning seasons weren't enough).

But, I saw on Reddit so many Bengals fans calling for Zac's head and I'm like, 'did they misspell Lou's name?' Nope. Just a bunch of fans that embarrass me more than our defense does.

Chase had almost 300 yards. Tee had 2 TDS. Get 5-10 more yards instead of doing EXACTLY what the Ravens want

Ok, then get upset that your QB checked into one of those runs, or your argument holds very little water.

It's a matter of opinion on what's the right strategy....but if you're not going to hold Burrow's feet to the fire for calling a run, then it just comes off as an emotionally charged witch hunt.

Then kick it on first or second down in case of a mis-snap or a bad hold.

Bottom line, if Rekow makes the hold and Money makes the kick, all the posters that are on here this morning wanting everyone fired would be on here talking about what a great game it was and how the coaches are magnificent.

One person on Twitter or something will give an opinion, and then everyone parrots it as the gospel.

It's absolutely Zac's fault for sticking with Lou. That's on him. Maybe he should play them more in the preseason. But to sit here and watch this offense hum for four straight weeks, and then call for his head while the defense is giving up historically bad numbers is wild to me. As I said, this is the same fanbase that blamed every single loss on Palmer and Dalton, and discredited everything they did in wins. Now we have the Joe Burrow fan club, so he won't get any vitriol yet .....

Yeah, probably best to have kicked it on 3rd down instead of running the ball there. But, there's a reason they say hindsght is 20/20

Yep .....but the defense's performance would still be an area of concern for me. They've been awful with zero exaggeration.

To be fair, it was posters in the Bengals subreddit that were echoing the thought to fire Zac Taylor, too.

That's what I don't understand. Like I think we SHOULD replace Lou, but to go straight at Zac? After the last 3 seasons AND how our offense has looked after the NE game?
