PFF Giants game

Probably not quite THAT sustainable, but he's played well in his limited snaps thus far.

I am curious to know how the Bengals plan to use Jenkins and Jackson in 2025 and beyond once Hill (and Rankins) will no longer be a Bengal.

Is Jenkins going to rotate with Jackson long-term, or is the plan for them to play next to each other on significant snaps?
That will heavily impact the draft plans in the next year or two.

Good Question? I hope they see both as rotation pieces going foward. Not sure either are players you can build a defense line around quite yet.

And many of us mentioned that prior to the season. Wts, now that they are moving past injuries, they are looking like possibly reliable rotational pieces for the DL. I still think that they should plan on re-signing BJ Hill to another 1-2 year deal, just for insurance.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Guessing he'll never really be a pass rusher. But hopefully he can be a solid rotational piece.

Not poo-pooing your post, but he had a rough patch in the 2nd and early 3rd quarters. He managed to right the ship and the play calling changed a bit so that helped as well.
He played like a rook, but he played like a good rook and adjusted on the fly, which was nice to see. Even without Thibodeaux the Giants have a good pass rush.

Most NTs aren't considered "pass rushers", but more pass rush enablers as they eat up two blockers leaving one one one for the other 3 DL.

If they put money into the DT position it will probably be on a younger player than Hill. I could see us adding 3 to 5 new free agents to the defense next season.

You're right,  but Jackson looks like he has some pass rushing juice for a NT.

Hill is now in his physical prime. Why would you roll the dice on a guy unknown commodity? (Let's be real, the Bengals aren't going to pay for the best young DT on the open market in FA, so their best bet is to re-sign Hill)

I was on record in the offseason saying Jackson reminded me a lot of DJ Reader when he was coming out of college.
Let's see if he proves me right.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I hope Mckinnley works out. My main reason is so folks around here will quit putting DJ Reader in Canton.

Anyone have the full screenshots from the Giants game? I’m curious how CTB graded out.

Doesn't matter, he was literally like 7 yards downfield when the pass was thrown lol, unless a running play, OL can't be downfield, period.

That's been a rule for decades.

Thanks. That’s disappointing. I thought he played better than that.

No one here thinks Volson is a superstar. He also isn't as bad as you make him out to be.

He's an average guard, which is good enough. There currently isn't a better option on the roster. He's fine.
