Sitting on our hands as usual

GB is in playoff hunt, read article about Smith, he has had reduced time since 1st game, don;t think that will make much difference in Pittsburgh...I would not have traded for him

A bunch of guys who were being shopped couldn't get moved and there were a ton of teams looking at pass rush help so it's interesting to me that the asking prices were so high.

Like I said above the ask for Campbell was a 4th apparently and dude is 37. Ask for Ojulari was a late 4th or early 5th and he is a FA in 8 games. Sometimes markets just don't come to fruition. The failure of this roster was back in March, not really today. I think expecting it to be saved today was a big ask.

I just feel like we are wasting Burrow during the prime of his career.. FO needs to step it up with their Ma and Pa mentality. They knew how bad this defense was they should've been working it way before this to make something happen.

He is a 32 year old player who has aged out of the rotation in GB due to them having younger talent. If we could have brought in a proven vet edge rusher (who fits the 4-3) scheme, who has 3 sacks on the year for a 7th round pick, I'd have no problem with them at least taking a swing.

Nobody would expect him to come in and have 6-7 sacks the rest of the year, but even an incremental improvement could be huge. The Steelers wanted to improve their 4th OLB spot and it took next to nothing to do so.

Right, but again where were all these other elite defensive weapons getting moved? I would have been mad if a bunch got moved and we weren't in but it just looks like the cost of defense was too high league wide. We saw some dudes on the scrap heap get moved in White and Preston Smith, two guys who were on playoff teams getting jettisoned, but none of the names we had heard.

The time to fix the defense was the off season, it's kind of misguided anger to be mad about today and more so I think to keep point back to some of the weird decisions we made in the off season.

Make no mistake they did the bare minimum and Tobin should still be fired at the end of the season.

Moss is out for the season Burrow would have burst a ***** blood vessel if he had to hand it off to Williams 6+ times a game.

I’m so over it we knew they wouldn’t make any big moves the media will say they tried woop de ***** doo I try win the lottery every weekend.

Tobin is a glorified tea maker and should have his boxes packed and be ready to **** off out of Cincinnati.

Wont happen though.

Gotta hoard those picks to fill out the bottom of the roster!!

Pretty disappointing absolutely nothing was done to help the defense. You have a QB playing like an MVP, a WR who was leading the league in yards and TD’s until this past week, the leader in sacks, and yet are still 4-5 and can’t be bothered to give up a day 3 pick to help these guys out.

You're right.  The same defensive linemen were available for signing in the off season.   Shoot we couldn't even sign our own DT.  Granted we signed Rankins, but he was supposed to be an addition not a replacement for a nose tackle.

When you superimpose that on their failure to sign the core of our team it is just demoralizing.   We've already lost one QB to this.  We have a franchise QB and we're farting around.  And with the core players we kick the can down the rode till we absolutely can't afford them any more.

You look at the contenders and they were busy before and during the season.   No standing pat and waiting for success to find them.

This franchise is unserious. No one should be surprised. Defense is horrific and we got a scatback.

- team slightly improves in one area by trading a 7th round pick

- fans “cool, decent move, but what about some hep over here?”

- Mike Brown’s attorneys: “ungrateful!”

Yep, not a lot of teams are willing to give up on the season at this stage of the season. To expect the FO to get a game changer at this time was a long shot. The real work needs to be done in March and April.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

We only have to play Lamar and Herbert in back-to-back weeks with our season on the line. No big deal.

Let's see how this ages when the Ravens put up 40+ on us on TNF.

Wont happen though.

Trayveon Williams has a career 5.0 YPC on 62 attempts.
Zack Moss is a career 4.2 YPC with 3.3 in Cincy this year.
Let's not act like Moss is head and shoulders a better rusher.
Pass catcher/blocker maybe, but Trayveon Williams has done solid in his limited attempts.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
