Not sure which pisses me off more …

The Chiefs being 8-0 or the Stoolers have the 3rd best record in the AFC

I can see a possibility where 8-9 grabs the 7th seed

Best outcome is we're like the 2011 NY Giants.

Edit: 2011, not 2012.

8 wins is realistic. 9 wins is a stretch

2012 giants went 9-7 and missed the playoffs

Mistake by me. 2011 season, I think?

Average team by record, but won the Super Bowl.

that team was very much like the 21 bengals. Really good offense carrying the defense during the regular season, only for the defense to step up and become great in the postseason.

but the 2011 giants might be the worse team to ever win the whole thing. Their defense was awful. The team let up more points than they scored

I can't.

Broncos have Raiders, Browns, Colts left which would put them at 8 wins.
Then they just have to win 1 of Chiefs, Falcons, Chargers, Bengals, Chiefs (the Chiefs might sit their starters in week 18) to get to 9.

Chargers have Titans, Patriots, Raiders left which would put them at 8 wins.
Then they just have to win 1 of Buccaneers (who are 0-3 since losing all their WRs), Bengals, Ravens, Falcons, Chiefs, Broncos to get to 9.

Heck, the Colts aren't good but they have 4 wins with the Patriots, Titans, Giants, and Jags left which might see them around 7. If they win just 1 of the Bills, Jets, Lions, or Broncos that would put them at 8-9 with 6 or 7 AFC wins to our 5 or 6 if we were 8-9.

9 wins and beating either the Chargers or the Broncos is the minimum I can see for us to make it in. (I generously put us in the difficult games section of both teams rather than the gimmie even though we haven't beaten a team with more than 2 wins yet.)

The Stealers have yet to play a division game. Their schedule just gets harder the rest of the season. I still think it takes 10 to get in, meaning we can only lose one more.

I believe the AFC has a better group of teams than the NFC, so getting to the playoffs will be more difficult. We have the best QB/WR duo than the other wild card contenders, but we are so poor everywhere else, I just don't know if it can be overcome.

We are soft.

Philosophically. Physically. Mentally.

We let teams rough up our star QB and no one does anything.

Shotgun on short yardage. Unimaginative and predictable sets and motion mostly.

Correct. They have a pulse. Albeit a weak one.

TF does any of that (which is all untrue, anyways) have to do with our playoff odds?

10-7 gets us in which means we can drop one of the games vs the steelers. All we can do is take it one game at a time.

Watched the Chargers game today and honestly don’t think they were anything special. I fancy us to win next week if we can keep the offence rolling then see if anything improves after the bye.
