Not being snarky, but did you mean 21 billion?  4 billion vs 25 billion.

Of course they do. Tanner Hudson fumbling on the goal line was highly impactful. Charlie Jones fumbling a punt return also highly impactful, etc.

So, Mike owns the Bengals, valued at 4 billion, and the rest of the family’s net worth is -.1billion? I’m questioning the math here. Or, the rest of the family is in debt?

How much of the Chiefs net worth is invested in the team? Probably comparable to the Bengals.
Now, I get that they can bring to bear more cash resources when it comes to signing players.

What I don’t get, and what is utterly INEXCUSABLE, is the size of the scouting department, especially considering that we are in a small market, with an emphasis on good drafting.

So what’s the deal? Is it hubris? “We know what we’re doing, don’t need so many scouts”). Jerry Jones has control, plus resources from the energy industry he can use to bolster his team’s finances. Why does he fail? Hubris, again? He won a championship with Arkansas in 1964. Maybe he thinks he’s qualified to micromanage? Do the Browns have a similar mindset (“we’re a football family “).

Or are they just cynically extracting money from their fans, with an emphasis on drafting and signing shiny players?

In the 33 years of Mike Brown's reign the Bengals have 10 winning seasons and are 5-8 in the postseason with 1 AFCC.
In the same 33 years of Jerry Jones' reign the Cowboys have 20 winning seasons and are 16-15 in the postseason with 3 SB Rings (though 0 since the salary cap really kicked in).

Certainly different levels of "failure" between the two. The Cowboys are considered failures while coming off three straight 12+ win seasons, the Mike Brown Bengals have only won 12+ twice in those 33 years.

I think the problem with the Cowboys is they just have had 2 franchise QBs in a row who are later round pick guys (Dak 4th, Romo UDFA) who are too good to move on from (and far too good to get you a #1 pick to have a Burrow fall into their lap) but juuuust not quite good enough.

I don’t see the Bengals scoring more than 20 points. The Chargers defense is giving up 13 points a game.
I can’t see a win with the way out defense plays, I don’t see us holding the Chargers to under 20.
Bengals lose 27-20

Didn't expect the Dolphins to lose against the Raiders, but Rodgers couldn't even beat the damn Colts for us?

Our wins are against..
3-7 Panthers
2-8 Browns
2-8 Raiders
2-8 Giants

Gonna have to beat a non-garbage team tonight to keep the hope alive.

Yup. They are about to be 6-5.
Not good for us.
Was really hoping the “decent” Falcons would hand them an L today.
Dang it

Looks to me there are at least 6 teams better than us in the AFC (Chiefs, Bills, Steelers, Ravens, Texans, Broncos) and the Chargers get a chance to make it 7 tonight.

Colts currently .5 games ahead of us, and the Dolphins have the same record as us right now but a better AFC record.

They have the 30th and 29th easiest remaining schedules, too.

REALLY need that W tonight.
