Replacing every coach costs money and the Head Coach most of all. The Offense has its issues but I'd rather they make changes to the guys stacking these defensive draft boards (DC and position coaches) Bettcher is probabaly the only guy worth keeping around at LB coach.

Or they could just give Burrow total control and hire Joe Brady to be HC.
Of course our wish list will change dramatically between now and when Taylor is actually let go in 2030…
I heard Jerry Faust, former Notre Dame head coach is available, even if he is dead, could be a better choice.

Yeah, now is not the time for stoic reticence. I'd like to see a little fire out of the HC every once in a while.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

They are always cheaper to sign and eager to make a name for themselves even knowing how the Brown family runs things. Was it Bill Parcells that said "If you want to hire me to cook the dinner then I get to chose the ingredients." But the Bengals way is to ask for a full blown steak dinner and hand the head coach a bag of Aldi's frozen rice.
They simply refuse to give up total control and Goodberry is correct when he said coaches here are trying to compete in the NFL one handed because of a tight fisted front office. The list of bright eyed new young coaches will always take the Bengals HC job because it is their shot at success only to learn most doors are closed to them in Bengal land.

....shit man, look at the failures in round 1. Oléhi, Ross, Price, Murphy?, and some oks with Jonah, WJIII. These guys can't draft in any round unless it's a no brainer slam dunk. We can blame whoever we want, but the issue is, and HAS BEEN, the front office.

Just like the link I posted in another thread about ZT bumbling up the end of the Chargers game not calling a TO and throwing away our next to last play by not calling TO.
He desperately needs to step back and control the big picture. Get the team ready for fake punts, QB sneaks, fake FG's, when to call TO, just on and on. It's impossible for one guy to keep the whole picture, down and distance, field position, game situation, time, players on field, what if scenarios, EVERYTHING in line.
For the love of all things ZAC figure it out. Swallow your pride and help the team out.
This, I agree 100 percent

Bengals Defense on the other hand creates zero pressure and gives up big plays. Bright side is the defense has been better against the run since adding Jenkins and Jackson.
Also agree. For all of the criticism aimed at Zac, I think they have adapted pretty well offensively.

I'm all for calm and cool until it's time to kick some ass. Parcells, "I think she'll be available in a couple of weeks". BB, "We're on to Cincinnati".
ZT for the 30th time, "Come on guys. I believe in you, and you're just not playing up to your potential. Plz play better."
Several good coaches mentioned here. Vrabel with an innovative offensive mind on board sounds pretty good.

Tobin is the guy in the crosshairs and both OL DL coaches, and maybe Lou. This organization moves at a snail pace. I don't see anything happening this year or even next year. FO has bad talent evaluators or the very least, inconsistent evaluators. This FA class is horrible. And it seems players do not significantly develop on both sides of the trenches.
Here’s a thought on the players not developing:
Maybe since we rely on the coaches to scout, it negatively impacts their ability to develop the players.
ONE MORE REASON TO HAVE A PROPER SCOUTING DEPARTMENT!!!!
Maybe it won’t matter who the **** we bring in because they will be asked to scout!

That's all fine and nice but have you checked team records and playoff chances for this year? Chiefs could very well be headed to another SB.

They have Burrow and Chase who makes things succeed...despite a weak scheme.
The team can't run the ball...except when the passing game is playing at a high level. Can't convert 3rd and 2 with runs, etc.
Offensive line is still bad.
On Sunday night, Burrow hit Tee on a long TD. Tee made a crazy good move to get past the double team. Not a good play call. It was a great individual play by Tee to get open.

Exactly
Watching Joe and Chase and Trey carry the team, rest of em is liking driving tooth picks under your fingernails with a tack hammer. "We've got it!"
Oh wait, the defense wannabe's have to take the field, we don't have it!! SUCKS
Chase is wide the hell open! Oh wait, Joe got steamrolled by 3 defenders in .095 seconds.
So heartbreakingly close, yet so very far away. Gut wrenching

It was a good play all, because you had the player to execute.

You answered why it's tough to run short ....the guards suck.
I dunno, they had a great plan for KC with the TEs. Good plan using Gesicki when Tee was out, etc. The offense is rolling pretty good except for the run game....and Chase Brown is having his moments, fumbles aside.
The problem is, you put up all of these yards and points, but the defense couldn't stop a FCS team. Then there's whole issue with FGs.
I bet you the FO lets Gesicki walk at the end of the year.

I was screaming for them to draft Creed Humphry, and Trey Smith. I thought maybe i missed something. But nope. I was correct. Tobin needs a substantial increase in scouting department. Forget the freaking locker room, focus on obtaining good talent!
