Anytime we get a player who is playing well at his position, someone wants to move him. Like clockwork.

I know, because they don't make any moves they just let the sink ship. They wouldn't need to cut, they could trade for a draft pick. A good left tackle could fetch a ransom.

Why pay the current very average lt 15m when the rt could do it better and will be the lt one day. When we have so many gaping holes to fill.

Goodberry literally mentioned in it that Watt goes up against RT’s about 95% of the time. It’s just completely nonsensical to make the team worse by getting rid of a good player in OBJ, and possibly hindering the development of another good young player by moving him around when you don’t have to.

Because OBJ played absolutely horribly against the Steelers due to not being fully healthy. Anyone with eyes could see he can’t move right now. He still has a higher pass blocking grade (71.4) than Mims (61.0) on the season.

You don't base his future position by one aging opponent Watt also moved off of him to face obj. What does that tell you?

I’ll just reiterate that I hope they leave Mims right where he is (at least for the next couple years while OBJ is here) and leave it at that.

Orlando Brown Jr was having the best year of his career as a pass protector before his injury.

Karras had his best season in the NFL at guard, and we currently have a glaring need at the position to the point they’re benching starter’s for backups. Not to mention it wouldn’t hurt to get a look at Matt Lee for evaluation purposes.

But the team had a lot of gaping holes to plug so it is going to take some creativity

While Lee may have the physical talent to come in at Center, he is not going to have Karras' experience helping Joe dissect the defense. So you would be weakening two positions trying to fix one. |
