Logan Wilson out for remainder of season
#21
Bengals need to think about 2025.Any player injured, they need to shut them down and start surgeries or healing process now.

We have no shot at the playoffs in 2024 so why risk anyone we need in 2025?

I wish they would shut down Burrow, Tee and Chase. Tee, so we can tag and trade a healthy very good WR for maximum value. I am not saying play to lose, but make it harder for this team two win again in 2024.

On to the 2025 off season looking at FA's and the draft.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

I guess it's official that the Bengals are now "Tanking for Travis (Hunter)"  Ninja

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

There are multiple defenders I would pull from the starting line up.

Not in an effort to tank, but they are playing very poorly and something needs to change.

Over the top? They gave up 44 to the f!cking Steelers & it probably would've been 50 if not for the pick six. They'll give up 38 to the Cowboys & some people will think they were better.

Sorry, Burrow & Chase are setting records, they're not sitting.

That's certainly not going to help his declining speed. He needs to drop 20 pounds this offseason to try and gain a step.

Let's hope their desire to go after individual records does not result in any key players missing any part of the 2025 season.

It isn't about records... Our bum ass front office couldn't get out of their own way and lock up Chase (or do anything right for that matter) over the summer. He's going for generational wealth not records.

I don't think any team has ever sat their franchise QB the final 5 games of the season. I don't think the NFL would actually allow them to do it as it'd mess with ratings, which messes with a whole lot of billionaire's money. Nor would the NFLPA allow a team to do it because it would be a team actively conspiring to limit future earning potential of players. When contracts are negotitated they are done based off stats and accolades. You won't get any accolades by sitting nearly 1/3rd of the season.

"Sit your healthy stars for 5 games" is just not based in a reality that could actually ever happen.

FWIW, they gave up 76 points in two games versus the Ravens, with a perfectly healthy Logan Wilson.

Was he perfectly healthy? How many of those plays were at his position? A defense is 11 people, not one. And yes, saying any practice squad player can play almost as well as he does is over the top.

He was also present when they gave up 38 to Washington and 34 to the Chargers. Being a better player on a crappy defense is still being a part of a crappy defense. Not sure why you're working so hard to defend Wilson, we all know what he's capable of, but his numbers this year are far from his best.

It's not defending Wilson, it is calling out the statement he is barely better than a practice squad linebacker as over the top, which is what is exactly is. His overall 2024 PFF score is 72.3 ( Logan Wilson | Cincinnati Bengals LB | NFL and PFF stats
Things go bad and there are always the over-the-top reactions. Don't get mad when they are called out.

I was'nt calling out Logan by himself, I was talking about the entire defense. Jeez, over the top much?

Was just going to say this. ADG and Pratt were monumentally worse than Wilson and Pratt. Have a feeling Logan has been hurt again and
that is the reason for his poor play. He was playing good early in the season as far as PFF shown and I saw, but he looked really slow like
the last 4 games or so he played. ADG and Pratt seem to have no instincts except bad ones and cannot see a play coming.

Pretty sad when the stealers Offense was as predictable as it was, you just knew screens and checkdown were coming all game and they
could never see it. These guys look dumbfounded on how to read a simple Offense. Gonna get even more brutal on Defense without Logan.
