That tells me the bengals are likely to lose the next two weeks—or split the two games.

Chiefs are absolutely going to sit their starters in Week 18.

Only one QB currently in the NFL has beaten Mahomes and the Chiefs in the postseason and they don't want him to get into the playoffs (no matter how unlikely I still think that is to happen).

So who are we rooting for in the Ravens /Steelers game? Is there any help to be had here? It doesn't look like it.

Only if they have #1 wrapped up otherwise the starters are playing.

I cant root for the Steelers in about 99% of scenarios

We want ravens to win, so Pittsburgh has to beat KC next week, then KC has to beat Denver last week to get #1 seed. If KC has nothing to play for last week, Denver will probably win, and we will be out.

i think you are correct, but given that the Chiefs play the Steelers on a Wednesday (Christmas Day), that would mean a 2 1/2 week layoff if they don't play starters against the Broncos. So, even if the Chiefs don't need the win against the Broncos, Andy Reid might think about playing the starters for half the game. And Carson Wentz might be able to hold it together for a half.  At least that will be my hope if the Chiefs beat the Steelers on Christmas.

Indy did beat Pittsburgh, but in my opinion, Pittsburgh aren't all that great themselves. Good defence of course, but I think they're quite a way behind the top of the AFC.

Well since they have beaten Burrow in 2023 and 2024, i dont think they are going to give up home field advantage especially to the mvp of league this year in Allen, which is their only loss, no way they want to travel to Buffalo...

Yea 100%. The fans may not want to see Burrow, but I can guarantee the chiefs coaches and players don’t care who they play as long as they’re at home. I don’t think they’re worried about us. Probably more worried about Denver

I somewhat agree about playing at home..But I can promise you they would rather face Denver than Burrow and the Bengals..Even when we are playing bad we give them fits

andy Reid did not lose two starting tackles, his starting running back a tight end..his number 2 receiver missing games and playing with a chronic hamstring problem....numerous key players on both the defensive line and defensive backfield..and Mahommes playing @ 50% his first five games..but again..don't get me wrong..Bengals need to enlarge their scouting department and get a real GM

I doubt that Indy loses another game or the scenario needed for the Bengals to make the playoff happens but I do have a question.

I read (I think on CincyJungle) that if by some miracle the Bengals squeak in that they would play play the Bills in the 1st round.   Is that correct?

The reason I ask is that this may actually might make KC think about playing their starters in order to win their last game if it means the Bengals get in.   Even though the Bengals D is historically bad (I expect they return to form against the Broncos). they may be one of the few teams to take down the Bills.   Lesser of Two Evils theme here.

I was just looking at the week 18 schedule on NFL.com and I don't see any start times for the games. My thought was, it'd be great if the chiefs had to play at 1 and the bills at 4 so if the scenario happened (Steelers beating chiefs today) the chiefs would have to play their starters not knowing what the bills will do. Of course it will probably be the other way around and they'll have KC at 4 to give them the advantage.

let's not ever think zac and lou have excuses for sucking when compared to all time greats. it is statistically amazing how well our offense generally performs in combination with how terrible the defense is. zac and lou have done nothing to fix it for 2 years.
