Winning may be a tough ask, but they're capable of keeping it close, anyway.  Maybe a 45-37 loss.  That's not what we'd want certainly, but other teams' fans tuning in would no doubt be entertained.  You can call the Bengals many things, but 'boring' is not one of them.

They gave up 40 in b2b games vs Detroit & the Rams a couple weeks ago.

Stop it. That was 100% PI. Plain as day and not at all controversial.

But there was also 2 of our D Line players being mugged at the LOS allowing Mahomes to scramble to his left into an open space to make the throw. Offsetting penalties and replay of the down should have happened.

Yes we got ref screwed on the Chiefs but a much more direct problem was Mac missing the GWFG vs the rats. He makes that and this scenario is way different. Not to mention the missed PI and late hit on Burrow in the second rat game were more obvious ref screwups and if called would have decided that game also. But even just the Mac game changes everything.

You need more than that to consistently win games. Look at the Bengals current record. Any of the playoff teams can hold their own against us.

We would have little to no losses if firepower was all that was needed.

This board is a weird mixture of half the fans wanting to gut half the roster and fire most of the coaches (AND) half the board thinking that if we make the playoffs we have a chance at a SB and that no one wants to play us. And some people think both.

The defense isn’t good. You need to overhaul that group with 3-5 players (starters). That said, no team in the NFL would be excited to see a bengals team led by Joe Burrow riding a 5 game win streak. Josh Allen certainly doesn’t want to see Joe burrow on the other sideline.

I’d love, love, love the bengals to sneak in as a 7 seed and get the opportunity to face Buff then KC. (If they won of course).

Comes down to needing help from two games now:
MIA@NYJ
KC@DEN

MIA has had the Jets' number since McDaniel took over as HC: 4-1.
DEN also has a more favorable matchup due to playing at home and also KC very likely resting starters.

While not probable, it is possible the Bengals get the help they need this coming weekend.
Heck, I didn't think IND would have lost to the worst offense in the league yesterday, but here we are.

All of this is moot of course if they can't beat PIT in primetime Saturday.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

What the **** are the Browns hoping to get by tanking as badly as that? No way in hell will Sanders let any of his boys go there, it isn’t a strong QB class once again. You risk pissing off your genuine stars like Garrett,Chubb and the burn victim.

You’re already screwed because your team is based in a poverty ridden shitole city that nobody truely wants to go to anyway.

You’d be embarrassed to be a Browns fan anyway but after that gutless performance I’d be taking the toaster to the bathroom.

the browns ownership leaves a great deal to be desired..But to condemn that city is ridiculous..Many areas of Cleveland blow my hometown of Cincinnati away

Not going to happen..But you know..the last month has been exciting..we have college football..We have a new manager on the Reds we have Elly...and hopefully ..and with the lease coming due..and Burrows input..there will be some definitive changes with our Bengals..for the better

A much more direct problem was ZT calling 3 runs into the teeth of the D when you have the greatest QB on earth on your team and counting on a 52 yard FG.

What part is not going to happen?

You can’t see a path where NYJ beat the dolphins at home? It’s going to be freezing and the dolphins records in such games is horrid.

You can’t see a path where a rookie QB is in a pressure cooker and loses his last chance at a must win game? It might be against backups, but Carson Wentz has proven to be good in his career and he has a platform to showcase his skills.

Or you can’t see the bengals winning?

The bengals and dolphins games are less than field goal spreads. The harder one to see happening is Denver/KC, but anything can happen.

Starters or not Spags is still Spags. I’m not writing them off.

I’m not either, it’s just going to be tougher. Would you be surprised if Carson Wentz is the better QB next Sunday? I wouldn’t be.

Yeah, any one of those things could happen.  I think the trick will be getting all three to occur.  The pisser is that with just one more we're in a win-and-in situation Saturday in Pittsburgh.  Damn shame that opportunity isn't there.

Nope. Not at all. This is the biggest game yet for the rookie. And he’s now thrown 6 picks over his last 4 games.
