Ja'Marr's Job is Pretty Simple
#81
I think it was Rex Ryan that said, after seeing Chase at the combine (maybe a pro day) that he was the best wr prospect he'd ever seen. It was kind of a matter of fact statement, not an emotional hype kind of deal. Draft hype can get out of hand, but it looks like Rex was spot on.

He’s mentioned before how Boyd was with him when he first came into the league and that he’s tried (key word) to help Burton in the same way. Seems like exactly the type of teammate we’d want Ja’Marr to be. Especially after some people were killing him this past offseason for the “hold in.”

Yep, be happy it didn't want to play because you weren't happy he didn't wanna play during the Preseason...You really didn't think that one through did you?

Personally not a fan of a player pulling himself but the each his own.

Wouldn't be a fan of Burrow asking for Browning to come in at that point.

That’s some weird energy. It sure seemed like the criticism over him not practicing during camp was about him supposedly being selfish and not a team player or whatever. He sure as hell didn’t need the reps.

Anyway, Saquon Barkley did the same thing earlier this season when he had the chance to set a career record and people lauded him for what a great teammate he was.

Sure, I'm simply not a fan of it, nothing more, nothing less. There's no nefarious motive. Merry Christmas!!

Ja'Marr Chase is doing something insane right now being mentioned in the same breath as the elite of elites of all time.

there is nothing that Burton has done this year that would show him to be a "talent"

He has been a good Kick Returner and in Preseason he was our best player. But as far as in season he has made a couple plays
that show his talent. The one thing going for Burton is his talent. Don't know how you don't see it. His problems are mental.

He has fantastic speed and hands.

Crazy numbers.  I just wish he could have gotten at least one TD to at least tie Pickens if not surpass him.

Only so long as he has someone on the field to scream at him to not take it out 5 yards deep in the endzone... which I guess isn't a great sign that the thing he is best as is the thing he has someone else do the thinking for him for.

Jefferson with “only” 92 yards today. Chase 133 yards up on his boy.

They play Detroit next week. Good team, but defense is guys picked up from practice squads. I don't know. Chase might need to make a phone call.

That game will be for the #1 seed. Not sure Jettas will be too accommodating.

Yeah, I know..Cry Hopefully Chase won't have to run a bunch of "3 yards behind the LOS" plays.

That reminds me. After Denver tied it up why not let him take it out of the endzone if we were just going to take a knee and go into OT anyways? The chance that he runs it back for TD is better than the chance that there is a fumble recovered for a TD I would think.

No TD’s for Scary Terry last night, so that should be pretty much locked up at this point.

Yeah, Jermaine just does dumb things. Hopefully he can learn, if he has good blocking he could take it the distance with his speed.

Good question BoomerFan. Not a bad idea to give this guy a shot here and there as an X-factor. His speed and hands cannot be taught.

Looking pretty good for Ja'Marr alright. Catches were the only thing I thought he might be caught at, looks like that might be in the bag as well now. Smirk
